Hotel Taking Steps Towards SustainabilityThe Hotel Brussels is a member of the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance and holds Green Key (since 2019), BREEAM (since 2022), and Good Food (2022) certifications. It operates on 100% green electricity from renewable sources, uses a cogeneration system for heat and electricity, and has implemented LED lighting throughout 80% of the hotel. Water consumption is reduced through water-saving shower heads (9 liters/minute), a skip housekeeping program, and recycling wastewater from air conditioning for toilets. The hotel also focuses on waste reduction, uses chemical-free cleaning products, provides refillable dispensers, and partners with organizations for food waste reduction and tree planting.
