However, some guests have noted that the hotel is a bit out-dated and finding it can be challenging due to the construction nearby. The surroundings are pleasant and offer a nice country feel, but there are currently roadworks and construction happening in the vicinity of the hotel. Despite this, the location is convenient for many guests' needs with easy access to the M27 and being central to Southampton. Some have found it a great location for visiting Peppa Pig World or departing on a pre-cruise trip. However, there are no shops around the hotel and some guests were not advised of the construction beforehand. Overall, the hotel is in a good location with many guests reporting a nice setting and a quiet atmosphere.
