Though some reviewers noted a lack of staff interaction, we found the hotel to be family-friendly and accommodating. While the pool may have been a disappointment for some, we enjoyed watching tons of kids having a great time while parents played football in the gardens. While there may not be much around the hotel besides golfing, the hermosa vista y la alberca muy cálida make it all worth it. The only downside we experienced was the lack of a handle in the shower, but overall, our entire stay was truley enjoyable.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted with warm hospitality and may even receive an upgrade like we did. The hotel offers beach tools which my kids absolutely loved. They also went crazy over the afternoon cookies. The breakfast selection was varied and snacks were always available. The location of the hotel is perfect for families as it is close to the beach and amenities. We enjoyed a safe and relaxing stay in this family-friendly hotel where great customer service was provided. The only slight downside was the bed frames in the suite we stayed in. Overall, an amazing time was had by our family and we will definitely be coming back with the whole family.

Many guests have reported a very comfortable stay with one happy wife saying that her kiddos loved it too. Even for a family Christmas trip, the hotel is family friendly and welcoming. While there were some issues with the breakfast not including children and a shortage of towels, the staff were quick to respond and provide more towels when needed. While there was no housekeeping, guests could call for more supplies easily. Despite these small issues, everything else was amazing with the pool being a particular highlight for the kids. One mom commented that they wished housekeeping was more frequent, but overall the experience was fantastic for families. So if you're looking for a hotel that caters to your entire family, San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina is a great choice.
