The fantastic location and beautiful grounds of the hotel make it a relaxing and lovely place to stay. The hotel is conveniently located to not only UCSD but also Black's Beach, La Jolla Village and downtown. Guests can take a short drive to the Gliderport, Salk Institute, UTC mall and La Jolla Playhouse and also find many good restaurants and grocery stores nearby. While some guests had trouble finding their room, for the most part, the property is very conveniently located and close to everything in La Jolla. If you're looking for a relaxing, beautiful location close to hiking destinations and UCSD, Estancia La Jolla is a perfect choice.

Sean the bartender is excellent and the valet parkers are exceptional. The hotel felt safe during Covid and the rooms are well-appointed. However, some guests found the staff uninterested or inexperienced and some felt that the hotel was understaffed, leading to slow services and limited dinner options.
