Former Castle Hotels in Neusiedl am Steinfelde

The property was raised in the 13th century when Krumbach was still a small town. The castle was largely destroyed in 1246 and 1260 in the Hungarian invasion. Later, it remained for over 200 years in the possession of Puchheim. Popular to castles of that time, it has its own castle chapel for worship. Nowadays, it serves as a perfect spot for weddings and romantic getaways. Thanks to its medieval atmosphere, the castle is an ideal destination in itself for unique and romantic getaways.

Throughout the centuries, Bernstein Castle has served as a fortress from invading armies. Kings and emperors have resided in the castle, while thanks to its ideal location atop a mountain and overlooking the Hungarian plain, any intruders could be detected from miles away. Today, guests are treated with lush trees and grasslands promising a calm stay, since parts of the fortress were turned into gardens for the guests' enjoyment.
