Bauer Hotel und Restaurant presents a blend of charming, family-run hospitality with a welcoming atmosphere, evident especially in their restaurant where guests often relish the delicious cuisine. The ambiance positively resonates with many as reflective of a quality chain despite notable gaps that some argue affect its four-star standing. Reviewers commonly emphasize the hotel’s good value for money, although certain areas fall short of typical four-star expectations. The absence of air conditioning, minibar, insect protection, and small cosmetic products in rooms are repeatedly cited as drawbacks. Additionally, issues like water pressure in showers and room noise when windows are open are notable concerns. Despite a reasonable price-performance ratio, guests highlight how these shortcomings detract from the anticipated standards. Some operational issues, such as sporadic room cleaning due to staffing problems, further contribute to varied experiences. While some appreciate clean and spacious rooms, others are disappointed by outdated decor and non-optimal cleanliness, including problematic carpets. The elevator’s inconsistent functioning also adds to the complications. With plans to renovate the pool underway, this may elevate the establishment further. However, until then, the mixed reviews highlight a discrepancy between expected and actual offerings for what is typically associated with a four-star hotel.

Mercure Hotel München Neuperlach Süd presents itself with the aesthetics and amenities expected from a typical four-star establishment, particularly standing out with its very modern and clean furnishings in an IKEA style. However, the overall experience tends to fall short of true four-star expectations. This is primarily due to several factors frequently mentioned by guests, such as the limited and rather simple breakfast offerings, which many feel do not justify its price of 25 euros. Moreover, the rooms are relatively small and lack air conditioning, which is surprising for a hotel claiming four-star status.
Guests also noted that the comfort level doesn't quite align with what one might anticipate from a four-star hotel. While the hotel's pricing is considered low for Munich, it corresponds more closely with a mid-level hotel experience. Several comments suggest that while the hotel meets some four-star criteria in terms of appearance, the actual services and facilities provided do not match the rating, leading to an overall sentiment that it is overpriced given its classification. Staff attire and the older state of some equipment were also mentioned as further detracting from the four-star ambiance.
In summary, while Mercure Hotel München Neuperlach Süd has some positive attributes such as its modern décor and comparatively low pricing for the city, it generally does not meet the higher expectations associated with a true four-star hotel.
