Very Good
Location
Netherwood Hotel & Spa is a stunning property with a Victorian Manor House charm, set in a beautiful location heaped in history with amazing gardens and breathtaking views overlooking Morecambe Bay. Its great location makes it easy to explore that part of the world with easy walks along the sea and a short walk away from the rail station, buses, shops and promenade. The hotel is an excellent base for local walks and it's handy for M6 and the Lake District. You can have great spa treatments and relax while enjoying the terrace view, which is uplifting. The hotel has a great seafront location with the train station over the road. Though there isn't much parking outside the hotel, it's still a convenient place to stay, just a short walk into Grange Over Sands with a good view of the Morecambe Bay. However, if it's dark, bring your torch.

Breakfast
The Netherwood Hotel & Spa has received positive reviews about their breakfast from guests. They offer a wide range of hot and cold foods which are beautifully cooked and tasty. The buffet breakfast is always being replenished and there is always a good choice of quality food available. The staff are attentive and create a warm and friendly atmosphere at breakfast. However, some guests have mentioned that the breakfast can be slow to replenish on busy mornings and could be hotter. Despite this, the hotel is still implementing the self-service breakfast due to Covid which guests have found to be efficient. Overall, guests have said that the breakfast at Netherwood Hotel & Spa is good with excellent food and service, making it a great start to the day.

Dinner
The Netherwood Hotel & Spa offers a dinner experience that guests either love or hate. Some guests had a lovely evening at the Estuary Bistro and enjoyed the excellent service and top class food. The dinner menu was small but very nice and some menu items were out of the ordinary and very tasty. However, other guests were badly let down by the food with some describing it as inedible or horrendous. While the menu was quite narrow, some guests had their orders mixed up or found that the food was very expensive for what they ate. Vegetarian options were limited and pricey. Overall, the food and service were excellent for some guests, but for others, it wasn't up to par. Some guests also mentioned long waiting times and a pretentious atmosphere in the dining room with some seating and table issues. Prices for drinks and dinner were quite expensive.

Rooms
Guests of the Netherwood Hotel & Spa can expect a range of rooms, from lovely and clean with excellent views of the garden and bay to smaller and outdated with poor shower facilities. Overall, the rooms are comfortable with lovely beds and many feature modern furnishings and stunning views. There are some issues with heating and lighting in some rooms, but most are warm and comfortable. The interior of the hotel perfectly reflects the age and style of the building with beautiful traditional furnishings and stunning Christmas decorations. Some guests recommend upgrading their rooms for a better experience and there are options for sea views. Staff are friendly and helpful and there are several lounges and a library where guests can relax by the fire. While there are a few rooms that might benefit from updating or more thorough cleaning, most guests enjoy their stay at this well-appointed hotel.

Beds
Guests of the Netherwood Hotel & Spa can expect to enjoy a comfortable night's sleep in the lovely beds provided. Many guests reported that the beds were really comfortable and supportive, although a few did find the mattresses a little too firm for their liking. The pillows were also mentioned with some guests finding them a bit hard or flat. However, overall, the rooms were clean and comfortable with nice biscuits provided, making for a pleasant stay. Some guests did mention that some of the rooms were a bit dated and that the beds were made from two singles pushed together which could be uncomfortable, but there were no complaints about the room comfort otherwise. Ultimately, if you're looking for a comfortable place to rest your head, the Netherwood Hotel & Spa's beds come highly recommended by most guests.

Cleanliness
Many guests praise the Netherwood Hotel & Spa for its exceptional cleanliness with reviewers using words such as "sparkling," "spotless," and "very clean" to describe the accommodations. Guests appreciate the well-appointed and comfortable rooms with many commenting on the pristine bathrooms. The vintage building and beautiful views also add to the hotel's overall charm. However, some guests noted areas that required attention, such as dusty and grubby spaces and dated soft furnishings. Despite this, overall, the Netherwood Hotel & Spa is a clean and relaxing place to visit with friendly staff and great amenities, making for a wonderful getaway.

Staff
The staff at Netherwood Hotel & Spa are consistently praised by guests for their welcoming and friendly nature with many describing them as delightful and lovely. Some guests even received special surprises from the staff, such as a birthday card and Prosecco in their room. Overall, the staff at Netherwood Hotel & Spa make the hotel exceptional and contribute to the impeccable service and wonderful experience guests have during their stay.

Spa
The Netherwood Hotel and Spa offers a fantastic spa experience but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the high standards of customer service of the hotel. Although some guests enjoyed the spa facilities, many had difficulty booking treatments, using the spa due to it being full or were disappointed by the low availability for the spa. The plunge pools were also reported to be broken by some guests. In addition, some were surprised to find out that they had to pay extra to use the spa as guests. Despite these setbacks, the staff were generally welcoming and excellent and the spa was still a nice added bonus for many guests. The spa was described as a bit small but nice, lovely and amazing by others. For those who were able to use the spa and book treatments, it was a fantastic and invigorating experience. Although there were some disappointments, the Netherwood Hotel and Spa is still a fabulous place to stay with excellent spa facilities at an affordable price.

Romantic
Those looking for a romantic break should definitely consider the Netherwood Hotel & Spa. Guests have praised the hotel for its beautiful location, cosy atmosphere and overall romantic feel. One couple mentioned how they loved the corkage fee of only 25£ for their entire stay, which allowed them to enjoy a bottle of champagne on the hotel's stunning grounds. Others have described their stay as memorable with many couples snuggled up by the fire with a glass of wine. The hotel's restaurant also received great reviews with impeccable service and delicious food. The interior decorations during Christmas were also stunning with massive fireplaces and Christmas trees giving the hotel a fairytale feel.
