The hotel offers lovely grounds to walk through and Koi fish to feed and it is conveniently located near wineries, grocery stores, restaurants and retail stores. Although breakfast is currently unavailable due to the pandemic, many guests fondly remembered the delicious breakfast they had on previous visits. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-stocked with everything you need and each room has its own unique style and charm. The staff is welcoming, friendly and accommodating, always there to answer questions and resolve any problems with a smile. The pool and deck provide a great space to soak up the California sun and unwind and the jacuzzi is a perfect spot for relaxation. While some guests found the beds too hard or uncomfortable, many enjoyed the large comfortable rooms and the overall comfort of their stay. Overall, Vineyard Hacienda is a lovely little hideaway for privacy and comfort and most guests found the rooms to be impeccably cleaned and the staff to be down to earth, hospitable and eager to make guests feel important and at home.

The Vineyard Hacienda hotel boasts an excellent location, situated in a secluded and peaceful area surrounded by mountains and trees, making it the perfect getaway from the bustling city. Its convenient location makes it easy to access nearby wineries, grocery stores, restaurants and retail stores. The grounds are beautiful and offer a serene atmosphere for guests to enjoy. Despite its quiet remote location, it is just a short drive to San Diego area sights and Jamul casino is only a stone's throw away. Although the main entrance from the freeway can be a bit difficult to find, the lovely location and serene surroundings more than make up for it. The hotel offers plenty of amenities that make it a destination in itself, including lovely grounds to walk through and Koi fish to feed. Overall, the Vineyard Hacienda is an ideal location for family visits or simply to experience the beauty and quiet surroundings of the foothills.

Breakfast

While some guests were disappointed by the lack of breakfast at Vineyard Hacienda due to the pandemic, others fondly remembered the delicious breakfast they had on previous visits. Despite the current circumstances, many had hoped for at least a continental breakfast. Some found it to be a major draw to the hotel with one guest giving a perfect rating of 10 out of 10. Each room has its own unique style and charm, from the cozy and comfy Champagne room to the beautifully adorned Pharaoh king room. The property itself is a hidden hacienda, nestled away and perfect for a quiet getaway. You'll love the gorgeous grounds and there's even a pool and restaurant available. Some guests noted that the rooms closest to the entrance could be a bit loud in the mornings, but overall, the Vineyard Hacienda is a lovely little hideaway for privacy and comfort.

Some standout employees include Paris at check-in, Rhonda who is spectacular and very accommodating and Joseph and Melissa who quickly resolved an issue. The hotel dog is also a nice surprise - calm and very friendly. Overall, the staff at Vineyard Hacienda is down to earth, hospitable and eager to make guests feel important and at home. The host won't bother you if you want privacy, but if you need anything at all, the staff is there to show you around, give you a glass of wine and ensure your stay is enjoyable.
