Haunted HotelCommodore Hotel was built in 1854 and had been used as a hospital and makeshift morgue for the wounded and victims of World War I. With such a turbulent past it is no wonder that the hotel is a little more than haunted. Apart from the ghosts of the wounded who died there during the war, guests have reported hearing the eerie cries of a baby in the upper rooms, where its body is said to have been found abandoned in a suitcase in one of the rooms in the 1900s. There are also some unexplainable drops of temperature at around the time when a young British army captain took his life in the hotel.
