Very Good
Location
The Mayo Hotel is the perfect choice for those looking for a convenient and central location in downtown Tulsa. Situated within walking distance of numerous activities and restaurants, it's the ideal place for anyone looking to experience all that this historic city has to offer. Guests rave about the hotel's stunning appearance and its grand view which leaves a lasting impression. Its rich history also makes it the perfect destination for history buffs. The hotel's location is particularly noteworthy due to its proximity to the BOK center - great for those attending events there. Despite one or two disappointing reviews in regards to location, most guests loved the convenience of the Mayo Hotel's downtown location.

Dinner
The dinner options at The Mayo Hotel were a mixed bag with some guests enjoying good food in the restaurants while others found the room service options lacking. Unfortunately, the main restaurant remains closed since the pandemic and the rooftop restaurant/bar is only open a few days a week. On the nights when the hotel restaurants were closed, guests had to order dinner in the bar, but were disappointed to receive their food in takeout boxes and with plastic cutlery. Despite these shortcomings, some guests did enjoy excellent meals at the hotel that were not overpriced like at other hotels. Overall, the dining experience at The Mayo Hotel could use some improvement to match the hotel's otherwise luxurious atmosphere.

Rooms
If you're looking for a grand and historical hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms, The Mayo Hotel is definitely the place for you. The rooms are lovely with gorgeous and elegant decor and are very well cared for and clean. Some of the suites are huge - about 1,000 sq ft - and some guests even considered their room one of the nicest they've ever stayed in. The hotel itself is beautiful with a lovely historic building and a lobby that is stunning. You'll find the rooms to be super clean, spacious and comfortable with some featuring beautiful and sexy interiors.

That being said, some rooms are showing some wear and could benefit from updating, as well as some small improvements in the amenities department. Additionally, some guests noted that being situated by the elevator or vending machine could lead to disturbances in the hallway, so be mindful of your room placement when booking. Overall, if you prioritize comfort and elegance in your hotel room, The Mayo Hotel is definitely worth considering for your next trip.

Beds
One thing everyone can appreciate when traveling is a comfortable bed at night and 'The Mayo Hotel' definitely has that covered according to guest reviews. Guests also noted that there were a choice of pillow types provided for even more comfortable sleeping. When some guests did have minor issues with bed comfort, they still noted that the rooms were clean and comfortable overall. But the vast majority of guests had nothing but positive things to say about their restful nights at 'The Mayo Hotel.'

Cleanliness
The Mayo Hotel is a well-appointed historical hotel that exudes the elegance of a bygone era. Guests love the cleanliness of the hotel and appreciate the effort put into keeping the property spotless clean. The building is both beautiful and clean with well-maintained rooms that are spacious and comfortable. The only downside mentioned was a shower that was not cleaned, but overall, guests highly recommend The Mayo Hotel for its super clean rooms and exceptional standards.

Staff

Guests raved about the warm and welcoming demeanor of the employees, who were always ready to lend a hand or provide helpful information. Many noted the exceptional customer service, from valet parking to room service. The valets in particular were praised for making guests' trips memorable. Even when mistakes were made, the staff was accommodating and receptive to feedback with the front desk staff even taking money off of one guest's final bill as an apology. While a few guests had negative experiences with certain staff members or felt that the hotel was understaffed, overall the majority of reviews highlighted the incredible staff and their kindness, professionalism and helpfulness. The combination of the history and the welcoming atmosphere created by the staff made The Mayo Hotel a standout choice for travelers seeking a clean and friendly place to stay.

Parking

Street parking near the hotel is easy to find and valet parking is available for those who prefer it, though some guests found it to be pricey and slow at times. One guest even mentioned that it was the best valet service they had seen in forever. However, some guests were unhappy with the extra fees for parking and a few experienced issues with the valet service. There were also complaints about the noise level and high room rates. Overall, while there were some parking and pricing issues, guests enjoyed their stay at The Mayo Hotel.

This beautiful historic hotel is located in a good location and is definitely worth the stay. The rooms are awesome and the staff is friendly and solid, making everything feel like a four star hotel.
