The ascending path from the mountain station to the hotel is only 300 meters but requires a climb of 90 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding hike. The hotel is also ideally situated near the Spitzingsee lake. Overall, Obere Maxlraineralm is a fantastic location with a perfect blend of nature, views and comfort.
