Guests enjoy an assortment of fresh fruits, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses and vegetarian options, complemented by a live piano player, enhancing the morning ambiance. The breakfast area provides spacious seating and lovely views, making it a highlight for many visitors.
Guest feedback on dinner is mixed, partially due to the restaurant being frequently closed or under renovation. However, the hotel compensates by recommending nearby dining options and providing in-room kitchenettes for self-catering.
The rooms are spacious, clean and well-equipped, featuring modern amenities like kitchenettes and refrigerators. Upper floor rooms offer stunning views of the harbor and sea, adding to the overall satisfaction. Although some furnishings are dated, the comfort and ample space make the accommodations family-friendly and convenient for longer stays.

Hotel Dom Vasco, while advertised as a four-star accommodation, often falls short of expectations associated with this rating. Many guests find the property better suited to a three-star classification. Reviews point to an outdated charm, where the facilities do not match the alluring promotional images presented in advertisements. Guests encounter a lack of basic amenities, such as a bar and restaurant, which are typically anticipated in a higher-rated hotel. Some visitors note that the air conditioning is faulty, and staff occasionally overlook replenishing essential items like coffee and toiletries.
Despite the shortcomings, the hotel maintains cleanliness and a warm atmosphere, largely due to the friendly and accommodating staff. The picturesque village setting also contributes positively to the overall experience. However, complaints frequently arise about insufficient sun loungers and the perceived inadequacy of services compared to the price paid. Although some travelers appreciate what they consider a value for money due to reasonably priced stays inclusive of breakfast, the general consensus suggests the hotel does not deliver a true four-star experience. Instead, guests recommend it as a solid three-star option that requires improvement to meet the expectations of a higher-tier establishment.
