Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Splanada Poilon is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat with a perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. Nestled on a picturesque hillside, it offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valley, making it ideal for exploring the breathtaking Serra National Park nearby. The strategic location balances seclusion and accessibility, situated in the rural area of Boa Entrada but only a short walk or affordable taxi ride away from the city center.
Guests frequently praise the hotel's consistently high standards of cleanliness and comfort. The establishment is immaculately clean, modern and well-maintained with spotless communal areas and beautifully decorated rooms. These rooms are spacious, open and inviting, offering modern amenities and spectacular views. Some include terraces or balconies, enhancing the experience with private outdoor space. Despite a few mentions of rooms being a bit cold, the overall sentiment is highly positive, making for a memorable stay.
Dining at Splanada Poilon also receives high marks, especially for its breakfast and dinner offerings. The breakfast is renowned for its variety, quality and generous servings, featuring freshly made bread, homemade pastries and delicious local dishes. The culinary experience extends to dinner, where guests enjoy well-prepared, delicious meals that showcase a balanced cuisine. The hotel's bar serves cocktails that further enhance the dining experience.
The staff at Splanada Poilon contribute significantly to its welcoming atmosphere. Guests frequently commend the team for their friendliness, warmth and helpfulness. The multilingual and efficient staff go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, whether through the knowledgeable advice of the owner, Hamilton or the highly praised service of experienced chefs and bartenders.
Though the WiFi is reliable in communal areas, it is inconsistent in guest rooms, which might be a concern for those needing constant access. The pool, while offering breathtaking panoramic views, is small and shallow, better suited for children with mixed reviews on its cleanliness and water temperature.
Overall, Splanada Poilon delivers a commendable three-star experience, offering superb value for money. It caters well to budget travelers, backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts, providing a modest and functional stay with an emphasis on cost-effectiveness and basic comfort. The balance of stunning location, excellent cleanliness, friendly staff and quality dining makes it an exceptional choice for a relaxing and enriching stay.
