When Mary, Queen of Scots was being taken to her execution at Fotheringhay Castle, she spent a night at The Haycock Hotel, a 16th century former coaching inn. Many guests have reported seeing her ghost still wandering around, as well as hearing strange voices in their rooms and feeling an eerie presence.
