Very Good

Location

The Francis Hotel is a charming hotel that is well-located and perfect as a base for exploring Portland. Located on the west side of the city in a quieter part of town, it is within walking distance to many sights, restaurants and shops. Guests have raved about the convenient location with some nice restaurants and specialty stores just a few blocks walk away. The West End location of the Francis is fantastic and the Cape Elizabeth lighthouse is just a 10-minute drive away. Guests have also enjoyed a nice scenic walk down to central Portland, which is about a half-hour walk away from basically anything you want. If you're looking for a great location, the Francis could not have been better as it's walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops downtown with convenient parking. Overall, it's a lovely old building in a lively yet quiet street of Portland.

The Francis Hotel has an outstanding on-site restaurant that serves amazing breakfast options. Guests were delighted with the great cup of coffee and the incredible baked goods offered every morning. Although breakfast was not included in the price, the breakfast options were worth it according to the guests.
