Breakfast
Guests of the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel had plenty of positive things to say about the hotel's breakfast options. Many wished they could have it every day and several commented on the convenience of having a Starbucks in the hotel. The food selection for the restaurant and room service was also praised. Guests who opted to pay extra per night for breakfast were not disappointed with one calling it "super." Unfortunately, some guests felt mislead when they were charged $60 for breakfast, as there was no complimentary breakfast offered. However, those who did enjoy the hotel's breakfast offerings raved about the service and the quality of the food. Even those who didn't have breakfast included in their stay still had the option of visiting the on-site Starbucks. It's worth noting that one review was in Spanish, but even non-Spanish speakers could tell from the five-star rating that the guest enjoyed the "clean and good service" during breakfast.

Rooms
The Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel boasts lovely, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and updated bathrooms that are clean and neat. Some guests raved about their awesome and dream-like executive king suites. The hotel is also known for its beautiful decor and great location. Other guests noted that the rooms could be a bit noisy due to thin walls or a nearby loud venue. A few rooms were described as small and outdated, but overall, most guests found the rooms to be very comfortable and nice with some even calling them "super comfortable". The hotel also received praise for its aesthetically pleasing leather furniture and good housekeeping services. While some guests experienced delays in getting extra towels or supplies, many others were satisfied with the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities. All in all, the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel has mostly won over guests with its amazing rooms and amenities, providing a great suburban getaway for travelers seeking comfort and relaxation.

Many guests mention the comfort of the beds as a highlight of their stay with some even describing them as "super comfy." The pillows are also noted as being comfortable, while the unfortunate few who found their beds uncomfortable were in the minority. Along with the beds, guests praised the great location of the hotel and the wonderful suites with one guest describing their experience as like being in a dream. However, some did note that the couches could be uncomfortable. Overall, guests can expect a comfortable and restful stay at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel.

Cleanliness
The Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel boasts a beautiful building and stunning decor, creating a great environment for guests to enjoy. The majority of rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable, leaving guests feeling well-rested and refreshed. The hotel's facilities are also generally spotless, contributing to its elegant and clean interior. Despite some minor issues for a few guests such as dust on the carpet or half-empty bottles, the rooms are mostly described as clean and spacious.

Some guests did unfortunately encounter hygiene issues during their stay, such as finding a dirty sock from a previous guest or dark hair on the floor and shower. However, this seemed to be an exception rather than the norm and the hotel's cleaning staff was making efforts to maintain hygiene standards amid the pandemic. While a few guests mentioned the pool wasn't completely clean, the property as a whole was generally tidy and well-kept. Overall, the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel provides a clean and comfortable space for guests to stay during their travels.

Staff
The Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel boasts a friendly and professional staff that goes above and beyond to provide exceptional service. From Andrew the bartender's expertly crafted drinks to Loss Prevention Manager Eric's assistance in mailing forgotten souvenirs, guests noted individual staff members by name and praised their attentiveness. Many guests also remarked on the overall friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, from front desk clerks to wait staff in the restaurant. The hotel's stylish decor also impressed guests with one describing their room as "like a fairytale" and others noting the lovely reception staff and great location. Wi-Fi
The Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel offers premium WiFi access to its guests. Rewards members can enjoy free access, while non-members have to pay a fee of $15-$17 per day. Although there were some concerns regarding the smoothness of the WiFi settings, premium members can enjoy fast and reliable connection. However, the hotel does not provide free WiFi access to its guests. If you need something brought up to your room, such as an extra blanket or hair dryer, there may be a delay in delivery. Nonetheless, the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel delivers a memorable stay for guests who value luxury and premium services.

Pool
Guests who are looking to include some pool time in their stay at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel should be satisfied. While some guests have noted that the pool area was uninviting in the past, improvements have been made. The actual pool itself was not a hit with all guests, as some found it terrible and outdated, but many others have found it to be a nice pool. A few guests also mentioned that the pool was not totally clean, but overall it seems that it is kept up well. The pool is a bit small, which may disappoint those looking to do laps or have large group gatherings, but it still serves its purpose. The pool area itself is small as well and some guests noted that it was kind of creepy. The hotel should address the need for updated work, according to some guests. Additionally, a few guests found the towels to be awful and scratchy both in the room and at the pool. Despite some negative feedback, the overall consensus is that the pool is a nice amenity to have during your stay at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel.

Parking
The parking situation at Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel may not be perfect, but it has several options. All parking is valet with fees ranging from $18 to $49 per day. Some guests found the valet-only parking efficient, while others wished they had been prepared for it. Some reviewers were glad that they did not have to pay the often exorbitant $25/day fee that other hotels charge. However, there were complaints about the cost of parking with some guests feeling it was too pricey. Some guests also found it difficult to find a parking spot or that the parking area was not clean. There were also reports of having to park down the street, which was inconvenient. Despite the issues, some guests appreciated the covered parking in a garage with unlimited in/out privileges. One reviewer even found valet parking to be convenient. Overall, the parking situation could use some improvement, but it was not a dealbreaker for most guests.

Nightlife
Guests of the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel can enjoy the hotel's premier location and accessibility to nightlife. With several bars and restaurants to choose from in the area, guests can easily walk to many areas to eat, drink and be merry. In the evening, a guitar-playing street performer can be found on the corner adding to the atmosphere. The location is also perfect for going out during downtown events. Guests can grab a Starbucks before heading out for the evening and return to the hotel's pretty decor and bar that closes at midnight. While there was a shooting across from the hotel at the Hyatt, guests still had a great time and appreciated being able to stay at the hotel for drinks instead of having to walk elsewhere.
