Former Castle Hotels in Mucke

In the olden days, the castle was moated to prevent attacks. The records suggest that the castle was initially built of wood and repeatedly rebuilt throughout its 800-year lifespan. It was originally owned by the Lords of Romrod in 12th century, and later it was rebuilt as a hunting-lodge under the Landgraves of Hesse-Darmstadt. Today, the hotels won many awards worldwide in gastronomy experience, hospitality and style.
