Location
Nestled away in the back of a pub carpark lies Nether Oslands, an exceptional and special hotel with an amazing location. Just a stone's throw away from the marina and close to River Hamble, guests can explore the area and take lovely walks around the beach and through the woods. While the location is on a busy main road and opens onto a pub car park, it is still a beautiful location that is deceptive on first impression. Within a few hundred yards, there is access to the water and stunning views across the marina and boat yard. Nether Oslands is also in a great location between Portsmouth and Southhampton and the New Forest is only a short drive away. Guests have praised the hotel's excellent access to dog walks by the river, making it great for pet owners. Additionally, the hotel's garden and pool have received rave reviews and local shops are just a short drive away. Overall, Nether Oslands' great location, fantastic walks and proximity to historical sites make it an excellent choice for travelers.

Rooms
Nether Oslands offers a variety of accommodations, from clean and comfortable rooms to quirky and fun tiny cottages. The accommodation is beautifully decorated and exactly as shown on the website. Most rooms have a compact but lovely layout with comfortable beds and amenities such as good WiFi and TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. However, some of the smaller accommodations may not suit all guests, as they have small toilet and shower rooms, inadequate facilities for longer stays and limited hanging/storage space for clothes. Additionally, some guests may find that the back door can't be locked from inside the property or that there is little privacy due to open-plan shower and toilet areas or beaded curtains. Despite these issues, the accommodation is generally clean and well-maintained and the host and family are fantastic. Overall, Nether Oslands offers an eclectic mix of small and quirky rooms in a great location, but guests should carefully review the photos and description on the website before booking.

Beds
Nether Oslands is a hotel that fulfills all the basic requirements for a comfortable one-night stay. Although some guests found the double bed too soft, others found it clean and very comfy. Regardless, most guests stated that they slept fine and enjoyed clean and comfortable bedding. The hotel offers good-sized bedrooms and great pillows and bedding. While some guests found the bed a bit too soft, others described it as super comfortable. However, one guest complained that the single bed was not even a camp bed and that the mattress was very uncomfortable. Additionally, some guests requested new sheets as they found the current ones rough and shabby. Overall, the hotel interior was very clean and provided tea, coffee and TV facilities.

Cleanliness
When it comes to cleanliness, guests of Nether Oslands had varying experiences during their stay. Some found the accommodation to be extremely clean and comfortable, while others had issues with dirty floors and unclean areas under the beds and in the bathroom. One guest even mentioned the presence of ants throughout the accommodation. However, overall, there were multiple comments regarding the cleanliness of the facilities and the history of the accommodation. While the property itself was very clean, some guests noted that the area immediately outside where breakfast would be served was dirty and unkempt. Despite a few detractors, Nether Oslands seems to maintain a reputation for maintaining a clean and tidy environment for their guests.
