Very Good

Location

South Lodge is a stunning and classy hotel that offers tranquillity to its guests. Its excellent location is one of the most appreciated features by its guests. From the terrace, the views to the South Downs are simply wonderful. The grounds of the hotel are stunning and offer beautiful views, providing guests with a beautiful setting they can't beat. The surrounding area is perfect for those who want to take walks and be outdoors. The location is fantastic, making it easy for guests to access many different facilities in the area. All in all, South Lodge is a fantastic option for travellers who appreciate a well-located and beautiful hotel.

Breakfast

Guests who have stayed at South Lodge are certainly divided when it comes to the breakfast experience. On one hand, some guests say that the breakfast at the Botanica restaurant is excellent, using words such as "delicious" and "superb" to describe it. One guest even enjoyed a great Sunday roast for breakfast. However, others feel differently. Some critique the high price per couple, complaining that the quality and presentation doesn't match the cost. One guest wished for more options and a fresher experience. South Lodge Hotel is a wonderful property located in an excellent location. The hotel is well-equipped with fantastic facilities including a spa, restaurant and a pool. Guests can expect to experience excellent hospitality from the staff who are extremely professional and friendly. The staff are very well-trained, friendly and offer a very good level of service. From the reception to the spa and everyone in between, the service is very good. The staff are great, nothing is too much trouble and they work so hard to keep one happy. The staff interactions are amazing! They are polite, accommodating and offer a friendly service. Although there were a few inexperienced staff, most of them were outstanding. All staff members are helpful, offering a great level of service. The staff couldn’t be more friendly or helpful. The reservations team made a huge mistake that could’ve potentially ruined a guest's entire stay, but thanks to the Herculean efforts of Mike and Eleanor, their stay was wonderful. The only downside mentioned by some guests was that there were not enough staff to support guests and a poolside manager would be beneficial. Nonetheless, guests were delighted with their stay due to the lovely staff and wonderful facilities the hotel had to offer.
