Schloss Tangermünde boasts a history that dates as far back as the 11th century, when the first mention of the castle was noted. Having been the residence of various emperors, kings, counts and princes, and being located behind a strong fortification in a historic city, the castle manages to retain some of its original charm and period atmosphere even today.
