Meliá Athens boasts a beautiful and comfortable room complete with a spa bath, allowing guests to relax and unwind in their own private space. Those seeking more pampering can indulge in a divine massage experience with Poppy, a trained therapist in the hotel's Health Club Spa. However, some guests found another spa lady too pushy in selling services and were unable to fully relax. Additionally, the hotel offers a nice sauna for those looking to sweat it out. But guests shouldn't forget to check out the rooftop restaurant and bar, complete with a stunning view, a swimming pool (although slightly chilly in October) and a lovely jacuzzi (only open until 7 pm). The rooftop bar has a great atmosphere with attentive staff, making it the perfect place to enjoy some snacks and cocktails. For those looking for a more traditional spa experience, the sky lounge spa has a nice little sauna/spa area and even offers a thalasso bath that some guests found to be absolutely perfect. Overall, for anyone looking for a relaxing retreat in Athens, Meliá Athens' spa amenities offer a little something for everyone.

The Electra Metropolis has a fantastic spa that is definitely worth visiting during your stay. The heated indoor pool is a lovely feature, but be sure to make a reservation ahead of time to secure your spot. The wellness services offered are amazing - we highly recommend trying out the facial and massage treatments. In fact, we love the spa so much that we returned for three different treatments during our stay. The indoor pool area is also quite lovely and there are additional amenities such as the steam and sauna rooms. While some aspects of the decor and spa could use a refurbishment, overall we really enjoyed our experience. Keep in mind that the fitness facility is quite small, but the spa is truly the star of the show.
