The Manor House Hotel in Alsager is an excellent place to stay with a fabulous pool, sauna and steam room. The leisure facilities are high quality and very clean. The pool is a great bonus and is described as amazing, lovely and nice by guests. Additionally, some guests found the extra charges for pool use frustrating, especially if they had paid for spa treatments. If you’re looking for a great place to stay and relax, Whitethorn Bed and Breakfast could be just what you need. The lovely swimming pool, both outdoor and heated, is a fantastic addition to the beautiful setting of the hotel, where you can enjoy lovely views of horses and the surrounding countryside. Unfortunately, the pool was unavailable at times, which left some guests disappointed. However, when it was open, guests made the most of it, especially in the summer. Families with children particularly enjoyed the pool, which was perfect for a heatwave. Overall, while not cheap and not quite 5-star worthy, the Whitethorn Bed and Breakfast is a small country hotel with excellent breakfast and a swimming pool to die for.

Guests of the Holiday Inn Stoke on Trent M6 Jct15 by IHG, can take advantage of the indoor and heated swimming pool, as well as sauna and jacuzzi. While some guests found the swimming facilities good, others experienced issues such as unclean floors, shabby changing rooms or the pool being a bit dirty. One guest even reported old human poo on the pool plastic edging, while another observed inappropriate behavior and said that nothing was done to stop it. It's worth noting that access to the leisure center and pool requires booking in advance and some guests reported issues with gaining admission to the pool despite having booked. Despite this, the pool is a reasonable size and some guests enjoyed doing a few laps. The leisure center is more suited to keeping up your workout routine away from home than as a full gym. Dogs are welcome at the hotel and guests can also take advantage of the lovely outdoor area.
