The hotel provides both ample and designated parking spaces with some guests appreciating the underground parking option. Valet parking is available, although there have been occasional issues reported with the service. DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul-Avcilar receives praise for a variety of aspects, most notably its suitability for business travelers and the commendable service provided by its staff. The location, although more industrial and west of the city, is ideally positioned near the Metrobus line, making it accessible and convenient for business meetings and conferences. Guests appreciate the proximity to markets, shopping centers and restaurants, as well as panoramic views from the hotel.
The breakfast experience is varied with many guests enjoying the rich, diverse buffet and the fantastic views it offers. While some believe it rivals other luxury hotels in Istanbul, others feel it lacks in variety and consistency with some concerns about hygiene and vegetarian options.
Rooms at the hotel are frequently highlighted for their cleanliness, spaciousness and comfort. Guests often complement the generous room sizes, impressive views, quiet atmosphere and big, comfortable beds. Despite some minor issues such as missing essentials and inconsistent cleaning services, the overall impression of the rooms remains positive.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel is generally praised with many noting the modern, well-maintained facility and the warm, professional staff. Some criticisms exist regarding occasional lapses in room and bathroom hygiene, as well as needed renovations, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive sentiment.
The staff consistently earn high marks for their friendliness and helpfulness. Many guests mention individual staff members by name, noting their exceptional service and positive demeanor, contributing to a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere.
However, the Wi-Fi service is a significant drawback with many guests reporting it as weak, slow and unreliable, which detracts from the overall experience.
The beds are described as very comfortable with clean and spacious rooms enhancing the guests' rest. There are isolated complaints about some beds being old or uncomfortable and issues with noise from neighboring rooms, but the majority of feedback is positive.
For business travelers, DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul-Avcilar proves to be an excellent choice. Its location, professional staff and amenities such as the pool and hammam are well-suited for short business trips and professional engagements. While it may not be the best fit for vacationers seeking proximity to tourist attractions, its reasonable pricing and business-friendly services make it a desirable option for those in town for work.
