Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel Quinto Sol, located above the tranquil beach town of Mazunte, offers a serene getaway with stunning panoramic views of the sea, perfect for those seeking nature's tranquility. The hotel's proximity to the town center and beach provides ease of exploration, while its peaceful setting offers a retreat from the hustle and bustle. However, the steep, rocky dirt road leading to the hotel can be a challenge, particularly for those with limited mobility or health issues.
The breakfast experience at Hotel Quinto Sol receives mixed feedback. On the positive side, guests appreciate the freshly prepared meals, especially Adriana's excellent cooking. The rooftop terrace café adds an extra charm with its impressive sunrise views. Nonetheless, some guests experienced inconsistencies in food availability and staff enthusiasm, particularly during the low season. Despite this, amenities like a fridge and microwave in the rooms allow for meal preparation, adding to the overall convenience.
Rooms at Hotel Quinto Sol are generally spacious, cozy and well-equipped with air conditioning, mini-fridges and side tables. Guests frequently highlight the cleanliness and picturesque views from balconies and terraces. While there are occasional issues with room heat, air circulation and minor maintenance, the overall comfort and scenery enhance the stay. Positive interactions with the owner and staff, alongside thoughtful amenities, add to the appeal despite some areas needing attention.
Cleanliness at Hotel Quinto Sol presents a mixed picture. Many guests commend the clean rooms and attentive service from staff like Adriana and the cleaning lady. However, inconsistencies in housekeeping, such as unserviced rooms and old linens, occasionally detract from the experience. The hotel's natural setting near vegetation can sometimes lead to the presence of small critters, despite mosquito nets.
The staff at Hotel Quinto Sol receives high praise for their friendliness and attention, contributing to an inviting atmosphere. Owner Jonathan’s multilingual capabilities and the efforts of staff members including Cesar, Angélica and Charo stand out in guest reviews. While some guests noted occasional lapses in attentiveness, the overall sentiment remains highly favorable toward the hotel's dedicated team.
The wifi service at Hotel Quinto Sol generally meets expectations with reasonably good connectivity despite being in a rural area. While some guests faced occasional disruptions and issues with smart TVs, overall, the hotel manages to provide sufficient internet access for most visitors.
Guests largely find the beds at Hotel Quinto Sol comfortable and spacious, contributing to a restful sleep. Positive remarks often highlight the pleasant experience with both beds and pillows, though some guests encountered issues with outdated or poorly maintained bedding. Despite these mixed reviews, the comfort of the beds stands out as a frequent point of satisfaction.
In summary, Hotel Quinto Sol offers a picturesque, tranquil escape with comfortable accommodations, dedicated staff and beautiful views, although there are areas where improvement could enhance the overall experience.
