Breakfast
The breakfast experience at Water's Edge Resort & Spa received mixed reviews from guests. While some felt that the limited options and restricted menu were not satisfactory, others found the breakfast to be delicious and excellent. A few guests went out of their way to find breakfast at nearby coffee shops, while others enjoyed room service or dined at the hotel restaurant. Grab & go options were available in the morning, but guests felt that they should be open longer. Starbucks kiosk on the premises was open each morning until 11:00 am, offering hot/cold beverages and tasty treats at very reasonable prices. Some guests were not happy with the wait-times for waiters to take food orders at all times of day, but most reviews focused on the positive aspects of the breakfast experience. Overall, guests seemed to enjoy their breakfast at Water's Edge Resort & Spa, despite a few shortcomings.

Dinner
Guest reviews of the dinner options at Water's Edge Resort & Spa are mixed. While some guests felt that the food was disappointing and overpriced, others raved about their dining experiences. The Seaview Bistro received some criticism for lukewarm soup and tough steak and the restaurant's limited menus received mixed reviews. However, the fine dining restaurant received praise for excellent food, service and views. Guests enjoyed dinners at Datillo and the Seaside Grill and some appreciated the nightly specials and prix fixe options. The lemon-cello cake was a standout dessert for one guest. The wait staff received mixed reviews with some described as courteous and professional, while others were said to provide slow and inattentive service, or completely mess up orders. Some guests were disappointed in the lack of vegetarian options, while others found the menu options to be of low quality for the high prices. The hotel's gorgeous ocean views and live music at dinner were appreciated, while some guests found the outdoor sea view bistro dinner staff to be unorganized. Overall, the reviews suggest that guests should book reservations in advance for the best dining experiences.

Rooms
Water's Edge Resort & Spa offers an amazing view from the spacious rooms. Guests have described the rooms as comfortable and standard for the price point. Several rooms have balconies that allow fresh air in. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The size of the rooms is also praised by most of the guests. The villa is especially beautiful and some rooms have a view of the sound that is fantastic. However, some rooms need attention and upgrading as most of them are outdated. The bathrooms are particularly outdated and might have mold or grout lines that look like mold. Additionally, some rooms have obstructed views or overlook the parking lot. The hotel boasts wonderful facilities beyond expectations and the property is surrounded by colorful flowers. Overall, Water's Edge Resort & Spa is a lovely property, but the rooms might require some upgrading.

Beds
Water's Edge Resort & Spa has a variety of guest reviews regarding their beds with some saying they were extremely uncomfortable and hard while others declared them to be most comfortable. Some guests noted that the beds squeaked abominably, were short or had mattresses like concrete blocks. However, there were plenty of positive comments regarding the beds stating that they were clean and comfortable. Some guests even loved the bed and found it to be the most comfortable they had ever slept in. There were a few mentions of outdated rooms and uncomfortable bedding, but overall, the friendly staff and comfortable beds seemed to make the stay enjoyable for many guests. Some guests wished for another pillow or a fluffy comforter, but reviews were largely positive regarding the bedding at this resort.

Cleanliness
Water's Edge Resort & Spa has received overwhelmingly positive reviews regarding the cleanliness of the hotel. Guests have described the property as clean and well-maintained, meeting the standards expected in a COVID period. The rooms are spotless, spacious and comfortable with beautiful decor. The staff is accommodating and friendly, ensuring guests have a wonderful experience. The grounds and outdoor areas are beautiful and well-kept with some minor exceptions. However, guests have noted small details that could be addressed to present a more upscale experience, such as cleaning patio tables and removing scuff marks from the walls. Overall, Water's Edge Resort & Spa is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a clean and comfortable stay.

Staff
Water's Edge Resort & Spa is known for their amazing food, welcoming staff and stunning location. Guests have raved about the excellent service provided by the hotel's helpful and friendly attendants, who go above and beyond to make their stay enjoyable. The staff at Julie's and the bar/bistro were exceptional, creating unforgettable experiences with their great service and excellent cocktails. While there were a few instances where the staff could have been friendlier or more accommodating, the majority of guests found the staff to be wonderful, polite and professional. Bell hops, valets and wait staff were all praised for their attentiveness and friendly demeanor. Overall, the staff at Water's Edge Resort & Spa made guests feel incredibly welcome and provided excellent customer service throughout their stay.

Spa
Water's Edge Resort & Spa offers an excellent spa experience. With a variety of treatments and affordable prices, guests can indulge in amazing massages and facials. The upscale-looking spa features lockers, sandals and robes for guests to use during their treatments. The deep cleansing facial also comes with a head, neck and shoulder massage and a relaxation room with tea/coffee is available to spa guests only. However, some guests noted that the sauna and steam room need upgrading, while others had below-average experiences with their masseuse. Despite this, the spa and pool area are loved by many and guests can enjoy beach access along with their spa treatments. If you visit, make sure to check out Kim and Lucy for exceptional massages!

Pool
Water's Edge Resort & Spa offers an amazing pool experience with breathtaking views and a relaxing ambiance. Guests enjoyed the refreshing outdoor and indoor pools; however, some noted that the pool area needs updating. Families appreciated the option of an indoor pool for kids and others loved the hot tub. Although the beach and pool were busy and possibly overcrowded, there were plenty of chairs available and the heated outdoor pool was a plus. Some guests were concerned about the cleanliness of the pool and beach areas and recommended having more staff to clean trash left by visitors. The food options were limited and pricey and some enjoyed the gym and spa facilities. Overall, the beachfront property, location and staff made for a delightful stay with the only regret being that some guests wished they had booked a longer vacation.

Beach
The beach at Water's Edge Resort & Spa is a major highlight of the stay with its wonderful sand and soft sandbars. Guests loved the proximity of the resort to the beach with some describing it as just a few steps away. The private beach and beach bar were also a plus with guests raving about the frozen drinks to be taken away. However, some reviews mentioned that the beach could use some cleaning up and that chairs were sometimes crowded. Despite this, guests still loved the beautiful grounds right on the water and the lovely views. The location cannot be beaten with access to both the beach and pool being a highlight. Some guests also noted the fun adventure of walking to Salt Rock from the beach. While some reviews mentioned limited breakfast options and not-so-great food, the beautiful and relaxing resort vibe made up for it. Overall, Water's Edge Resort & Spa is a great value and recommended for those looking for a beautiful and conveniently located getaway with ocean views.

Parking
Guest reviews of Water's Edge Resort & Spa mention mixed experiences with the hotel's parking. Some guests found parking to be difficult, especially during peak times with large events and were disappointed with the lack of car services and accessibility for those with disabilities. However, other guests reported no issues with parking and appreciated the ample space available. Some guests also noted that the location was convenient, although getting to the parking lot required a bit of walking, especially for those with mobility issues. While the hotel could improve the clarity of parking instructions and provide better accessibility for guests, overall, the parking situation should not deter travelers from enjoying the hotel's beautiful location and excellent staff.

Family
Water's Edge Resort & Spa may not have specifically marketed itself as a kid-friendly hotel, but according to guest reviews, it truly is. Families who have stayed here have found it to be a perfect retreat for all members, providing a great value for family and friends to get together. Despite some concerns for overcrowding during COVID, the resort has been accommodating and pleasant for families, offering a pool for kids and condos close to the beach. One reviewer mentioned that a kids' room could be added but overall, the resort is considered a great place for families to enjoy together. There were also positive remarks about the pool and a nice mother-daughter retreat. With many families seen at the pool, it's clear that this resort is great for those traveling with kids, but even adults without children can enjoy a short getaway here.

3 Star
Water's Edge Resort & Spa is a great place for those looking for private beach access. The resort has a peaceful atmosphere, but the price is a bit high. The facilities, including the restaurants, are underwhelming and in need of improvement. Despite this, guests rate their stays between 7-9/10. Some guests have had issues with the rooms, finding them overpriced or lacking restful qualities. The food service has received poor reviews with some guests reporting that their orders were prepared incorrectly. The resort can be overcrowded at times, even during Covid and the beach area has run out of towels several times. Overall, Water's Edge Resort & Spa is a pleasant place to stay with a little attention to detail needed to make it a great one.

Accessible
Water's Edge Resort & Spa offers a beautiful location for a relaxing getaway. However, some guests with disabilities may find the lack of accessible features challenging. While some units, such as Unit#287, are accessible, others require climbing stairs which could be difficult with heavy luggage or a wheelchair. Additionally, some guests have reported falls on the many stairs throughout the property. The beach area is not easily reached for those with a mobility impairment due to a fairly steep hill. Unfortunately, the main building does not have any handicapped rooms. We recommend contacting the hotel before booking to ensure accessibility needs are met.

Outdoor Pool
Water's Edge Resort & Spa has an idyllic outdoor pool that is surrounded by lots of seating for guests to relax and enjoy. While a few guests noted that the pool was fairly small or out of service during their stay, they still raved about the beautiful facility and the option to use the indoor pool and hot tub instead. The resort's proximity to the beach and the stunning views from both pools only added to the overall appeal of the property, leaving guests wishing they had booked a longer stay. Plus with two pools (including a heated outdoor option), there's plenty of opportunity to soak up the sun and enjoy the water.
