The breakfast offerings receive mixed feedback. While the presence of a complimentary breakfast, including a waffle maker, was appreciated, many found the variety and quality to be lacking. Typical items such as coffee, juice, yogurt and toast were available, but the absence of protein options and fresh fruits was noted. Cleanliness in the breakfast area was also a concern with reports of a messy environment and food running out prematurely. Nonetheless, some guests found the breakfast adequate given the price.
Rooms at the hotel offer a mix of satisfaction and disappointment. Positive remarks highlight the newly remodeled and spacious rooms, comfortable beds and pillows and amenities such as microwaves and fridges. Modern updates and larger-than-expected room sizes were also appreciated, providing a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. However, issues with cleanliness and maintenance, including stains, worn-out furniture, foul odors and significant problems like water damage and bug sightings, were noted by several guests, indicating areas needing improvement.
Cleanliness throughout the property garnered mixed reviews. Many guests expressed dissatisfaction with dirty carpets, bathrooms with mold and a musty smell. Issues like hair on bedding, cobwebs, bugs and dirty hallways were also frequently mentioned. Some guests found the rooms clean but in need of renovation. Despite these concerns, positive remarks about the staff's efficiency and pleasant demeanor were noted, though the general feedback indicated a need for a significant facelift to improve cleanliness and hygiene standards.
The staff at Days Inn by Wyndham Rutland/Killington Area consistently receive praise for their friendliness and helpfulness. The front desk team, particularly a receptionist named Linda, was highlighted for politeness and hospitality. Management also received commendation for ensuring a pleasant experience. Although there were isolated reports of less friendly interactions and issues with room cleanliness, the staff's responsiveness to concerns and willingness to accommodate needs stood out as a positive aspect of the hotel.
The beds are a notable highlight, frequently described as comfortable, contributing to a restful stay. Most guests appreciated the large, comfy beds and the inclusion of microwaves and fridges added to the overall positive experience. Despite a few isolated comments regarding cleanliness and bed bugs, the majority of feedback about the beds was highly favorable.
The hotel is also appreciated for its pet-friendly policy, allowing guests to bring dogs for an additional $25 fee with service dogs exempt from the charge. This pet-friendly approach, along with amenities like a swimming pool and a scenic patio, was well-received by guests who valued having their pets along during their travels.
