Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Super 8 by Wyndham Middletown offers a convenient and accessible location just off the highway, which guests appreciate for its proximity to various restaurants, stores and attractions like Legoland. Despite being close to bustling areas, the hotel maintains a quiet ambiance. The staff at the hotel receives commendations for their friendliness and professionalism with many guests experiencing accommodating and courteous service from both the front desk and housekeeping.
However, reviews of breakfast options are predominantly negative with guests expressing disappointment over the lack of a substantial meal despite expectations set by advertisements. A basic paper bag with low-quality items such as a muffin, apple and juice is provided, leading many to feel misled and unsatisfied.
The rooms receive mixed feedback. While some guests find them clean and appreciate amenities like in-room refrigerators, others report significant issues with cleanliness and maintenance, including dirty bedding, stained carpets, unpleasant odors and outdated fixtures. The condition and upkeep of the rooms require attention with many guests feeling that the overall quality does not justify the prices.
Cleanliness throughout the property is a recurrent concern with multiple reviews highlighting dirty carpets, unpleasant smells and poorly maintained bathrooms. Though the exterior is described as clean and inviting, the interior conditions sharply contrast, pointing to a need for comprehensive cleaning and updates.
Guest experiences with the beds are varied. While some find the beds comfortable and conducive to a good night's sleep, others complain about hard mattresses, feeling springs, stained bedding and even bed bugs, indicating inconsistency in the quality of bedding.
In summary, while Super 8 by Wyndham Middletown benefits from a strategic location and positive staff interactions, improvements are needed in room maintenance, cleanliness and breakfast offerings to enhance the overall guest experience.
