Hotel Vitoria boasts a highly recommended location, strategically placed close to the city center of Santarém. The convenience of nearby shops, restaurants and attractions, alongside easy access to the Camino route, makes it an attractive choice for travelers. The quiet surroundings ensure a peaceful night's sleep, although guests note minor challenges with parking and navigating narrow streets.
The breakfast at Hotel Vitoria offers a mixed experience. It is appreciated by many for being included in the stay and providing adequate quality, often described as simple yet tasteful. However, there is notable criticism regarding its variety with some guests expressing dissatisfaction due to limited options and basic quality.
Rooms receive varied feedback with positive remarks on their spaciousness, cleanliness and comfortable amenities such as beds, TV and air conditioning. The quiet ambiance and good quality/price ratio are also praised. Nevertheless, consistent cleanliness and maintenance are areas needing improvement with issues related to mold, poor bathroom conditions and outdated fixtures.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel garners mixed reviews. Some guests find the general upkeep satisfying, while others highlight areas requiring better attention, particularly in bathrooms where mold and unpleasant odors are mentioned.
The staff at Hotel Vitoria are predominantly commended for their friendliness and helpfulness, significantly improving the overall guest experience. The reception staff, especially, receive high praise for their accommodating nature, though there are occasional critiques about language barriers and inconsistent customer service.
Beds are frequently highlighted for their comfort, contributing to a restful stay. While most guests find the mattresses and bedding comfortable, some instances of older, harder mattresses and low-quality pillows are noted.
Lastly, Hotel Vitoria is highly regarded for its dog-friendly policies, welcoming pets with ease and ensuring a pleasant stay for both guests and their furry companions. A nominal fee is charged for pets and while there's no on-site parking, the surrounding area's parking options are deemed sufficient.
