Hotel Tybee is a great option for those who want to be close to the beach and have easy access to shops and restaurants. Many guests appreciate the proximity to the beach, which is just steps away. There are also several great restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel. The location is considered the best on Tybee Island with many guests loving the balconies and beach chairs that offer a great view of the ocean. The hotel is right in the middle of town, making it easy to find and close to everything. The scenery is also beautiful with an ocean front view. The staff is nice and the tokens for drinks at the pool Tiki Bar is a delightful extra. Overall, Hotel Tybee provides an exceptional location, making it the perfect choice for a beach vacation.

The staff was readily available to help guests with any concerns that arose during the stay, from responding quickly to slow-draining sinks to helping guests move rooms when necessary. Some employees were even mentioned by name for their exceptional customer service, including Tonya at the front desk and Brett the GM. The hotel staff provided free drink tokens, complimentary beach chairs and towels and left Christmas stockings outside guests' doors. Though some negative experiences were mentioned with cleaning staff and registration, the vast majority of guests found the staff to be personable, helpful and friendly throughout their stay.
