Sunset del Mar Beach Resort, located on the serene Estarillo Beach, offers guests an idyllic seaside experience surrounded by natural beauty and tranquility. The resort's prime beachfront location is consistently praised for its access to what many consider the most beautiful beach in Costa Rica, providing a peaceful escape with stunning ocean views and picturesque sunsets. The proximity to both the sea and the Central Valley makes it a convenient retreat for relaxation.
Guests laud the comfortable and stylishly decorated rooms and suites, which provide spacious accommodations ideal for families or couples. The luxurious feel, modern amenities, and breathtaking views from the rooms contribute to a relaxing stay. The resort also excels in offering a welcoming atmosphere, largely due to the friendly and attentive staff who are often highlighted for their excellent service.
The complimentary breakfast receives positive reviews for its taste and generous portions, particularly the typical Costa Rican dishes, though some desire a broader selection and more consistency. Dinner experiences are mixed, with some praising the food quality, while others point to limited menu options and high pricing as areas needing improvement.
Cleanliness at the resort garners varied feedback. While many find the rooms spotless and pleasant, there are concerns about common areas like the pool requiring more regular maintenance to maintain high standards. The pool itself, set in a beautiful natural backdrop, is appreciated for its size and appeal, though some guests note that timely upkeep could enhance visitors' enjoyment.
The resort's focus on family-friendly accommodations shines, creating an environment conducive to relaxation and quality time. The tranquil beach setting and attentive staff make it an ideal choice for families, although breakfast options could be expanded to cater to younger guests better. Overall, Sunset del Mar Beach Resort stands out as a serene haven, offering a beautiful beachfront experience, exceptional service, and comfortable accommodations for those seeking a peaceful seaside escape.
