Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Ying Shih Guest House is strategically positioned at the base of Victoria Peak, making it an exceptional choice for travelers eager to explore natural attractions. Its location offers a convenient starting point, with a mere one-hour drive to reach Victoria Peak's stunning views. Additionally, the proximity to Tai Ping Shan National Forest Park, a 50-minute drive away, adds further appeal for nature enthusiasts. Guests have noted the picturesque mountain vistas surrounding the guesthouse, despite the nearest convenience store being situated 10 kilometers away. This advantageous location caters well to those prioritizing easy access to scenic areas.
Guests consistently praise the breakfast offerings at Ying Shih Guest House for their variety and nutritional value, especially appreciating the vegan and vegetarian-friendly options. While the absence of egg dishes is noted, the flavorful soy milk receives positive remarks, contributing to a refreshing start to the day. The breakfast experience is enhanced by the pleasant environment and fresh air, leaving visitors satisfied and ready for a day of exploration.
Accommodations at the guesthouse are ample and diverse, with options ranging from spacious three plus one rooms to independent small cabins. Families find the cabins particularly favorable, offering children a space to play without noise concerns. Despite some challenges, including occasional musty odors, ant issues, and outdated bathroom fixtures, the overall spaciousness and comfort of the accommodations receive positive feedback. While improvements such as better soundproofing and heating are suggested, guests appreciate the large, accommodating spaces that cater to relaxation and independence.
