Bank Guest House, though not entirely modern, offers nicely furnished rooms that provide a comfortable stay. The guest house receives high praise for its top and first-class accommodation, being frequently described as exceptional and superb. Guests have particularly enjoyed the breakfast with some mentioning it was the best of their week-long travels and even better than what they experienced at other four-star hotels. However, some felt the breakfast selection was limited and not up to four-star standards. Despite certain criticisms, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards a positive and satisfactory experience.

Caithness Inn has received mixed reviews regarding its four-star rating and overall facilities. Many guests have noted that it does not meet the requirements typically associated with a four-star hotel, likening it more to a two-star property or even a hostel. However, despite the disparity in star rating expectations, guests have praised the inn for its clean, comfortable and warm rooms. The staff is frequently described as friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. The property stands out for spotless rooms and immaculate housekeeping, which adds to its appeal for those prioritizing cleanliness and comfort. Nonetheless, those expecting four-star amenities may find the facilities and services falling short of such expectations.
