The attentiveness and helpfulness of the staff is beyond reproach with many guests noting that the staff is wonderful, welcoming, approachable and there's no request that's met with anything but a helpful smile. Breakfast, restaurant and the serving staff were exceptional in their service. In general, colleagues delivered great service and the staff, location and cleanliness of the hotel were exceptional. Grand Hotel Swanage's staff is one of the main reasons guests keep coming back.

Spa

When searching for a spa hotel, the Grand Hotel Swanage may not meet all expectations. While some guests enjoyed the spa, including a brilliant massage and lovely plunge pool and jacuzzi, others were disappointed by the limited facilities. Unfortunately, the sauna was out of order and the spa jacuzzi was not working. Additionally, some guests did not have the opportunity to use the spa facilities as the leisure center did not open until half past ten in the morning. One guest even found that the pool area did not open until 10:30 am on their day of check out. Overall, the spa may not be the main draw of the Grand Hotel Swanage.
