While it may be a bit farther from the center of Sorrento than expected, there is a lift that takes you up to the top of the cliffs where you'll find all the shopping and restaurants. However, coming back to the hotel is easier by stairs. The harbor comes alive early in the morning and the atmosphere in Sorrento is cozy with good restaurants. Though it can get noisy on weekends, overall, the other nights were quite peaceful. While it may be a bit challenging to get to the center of Sorrento, it is not an issue for most tourists. The hotel has exceeded guests' expectations and is ideally located in front of the ferry terminal for Capri.
