'Silver Garden' offers a blend of amenities and experiences that have garnered both praise and criticism from its guests. Set in a serene and peaceful location near Lake Balaton, it is ideal for those looking to relax while being close to the beach and a variety of local attractions. The proximity to the harbor, eateries and supermarkets, along with ample parking and inviting swimming pools, adds to its convenience and appeal.
The staff at Silver Garden receive high accolades for their friendliness and helpfulness with guests consistently noting their positive impact on the overall experience. The warm and accommodating demeanor of both the staff and the owners ensures a welcoming atmosphere from check-in to check-out.
When it comes to breakfast, opinions are divided. While some appreciate the personally prepared meals by the owner in a pleasant setting, others feel let down by the limited selection and occasional lack of quality, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
Room experiences vary significantly. While the rooms are noted for being cozy and well-furnished with practical amenities, issues of cleanliness persist, including reports of dust, mold and musty odors. These cleanliness concerns extend beyond the rooms to the outdoor areas, such as the pools and garden, which have also been described as poorly maintained in some reviews. Despite these issues, the modern furnishing and helpful staff often offset the discomforts to some extent.
Free Wi-Fi is a common expectation, yet Silver Garden seems to falter in this area. Many guests report challenges with connectivity, citing either weak signals or no internet access at all, especially when the hotel is crowded.
The pool facilities present varied experiences. Guests appreciate the clean and heated pool, though there are instances where cleanliness and maintenance issues detract from the enjoyment with some guests encountering dirty or unusable pools during their stay.
Beds at Silver Garden have drawn considerable criticism with many guests finding the mattresses too hard or uncomfortable. Issues such as creaking noises and old, warped or even moldy mattresses have been noted, pointing to an urgent need for upgrades to enhance sleeping comfort.
In summary, while Silver Garden excels in location and staff service, areas such as room cleanliness, Wi-Fi connectivity, pool maintenance and bed comfort require significant improvements to meet guest expectations fully.
