Hotel Katarina offers a mixed experience when it comes to meeting the expectations of a four-star establishment. While several reviews indicate it as a very good choice for a mid-range hotel and praise it as excellent for a four-star hotel with good rooms and beautiful views, there are significant sentiments that it falls short of the typical expectations associated with a four-star rating. The hotel does provide multiple four-star level services and amenities and it’s described as quite grand and luxurious by some.
However, many reviews suggest that the hotel might better suit a three-star classification, citing issues such as lacking hot water in the mornings and restaurant services that seem more fitting for a three-star hotel. Some found the offerings modest and a bit underwhelming for a four-star hotel and overall, there is a discrepancy in service quality that leads to disappointment among guests expecting a consistent four-star experience. Despite the praise for certain aspects, the general consensus appears to lean towards the hotel being requalified to a three-star rating.
