The Grand Hotel Rimini's private beach is another highlight, appreciated for its cleanliness and tranquility. Despite the additional fees for beach access, guests enjoy the well-maintained and peaceful setting. However, the WiFi service has room for improvement with many guests experiencing weak and inconsistent connectivity, particularly in their rooms. The spa offers a relaxing retreat with professional staff and well-received massage treatments, although some guests feel that the facilities could use upgrades. The pool area provides a charming environment, but limited seating and additional costs for beach access diminish its appeal for some visitors. Guests highlight the comfort and functionality of the rooms with well-equipped amenities and beautiful views, particularly those with sea views. The rooms are described as very clean, well-soundproofed and welcoming, contributing to an overall comfortable stay. However, some areas could use improvement. A few guests found the rooms a bit dated and certain bathrooms were described as outdated and occasionally dusty. There were also mentions of rooms being too cold and issues with noise from nearby discos and clubs. Despite these minor drawbacks, the hotel’s overall ambiance, combining classic elegance with modern comforts, makes for an enjoyable experience. With spacious rooms, tasteful antique furniture and exceptional cleanliness, the Grand Hotel Rimini provides a delightful blend of historic charm and contemporary comfort.

Beds

Visitors to the Grand Hotel Rimini often praise the exceptional comfort of the beds, highlighting them as a standout feature of their stay. Many reviews mention that the beds are not only very large but also extremely comfortable with some guests noting the high quality of the bed linen contributing to a great night's sleep. Even single rooms receive accolades for their comfortable beds. The pillows also garner positive remarks for their comfort. A few reviews specifically mention the exceptional comfort of the beach beds. However, one guest noted an issue with the king-size bed featuring twin mattresses that dip in the middle, which was deemed unsuitable for a superior 5-star hotel. Despite this, the overall consensus is that Grand Hotel Rimini provides modern and excellent beds that significantly enhance the guest experience.

Cleanliness

Grand Hotel Rimini has consistently impressed its guests with exceptional cleanliness and attention to detail. This well-maintained hotel is described as beautiful, welcoming and comfortable, offering an ambiance that reflects its historic charm. The effective housekeeping services contribute to the overall excellent cleanliness standards, enhancing guests' comfort and satisfaction. The hotel's combination of historic elegance and modern precision creates a unique and appealing atmosphere. The cleanliness, coupled with impeccable service in the restaurant and high-quality cuisine, solidifies Grand Hotel Rimini’s reputation for outstanding hospitality and attention to detail.

Staff

The staff at Grand Hotel Rimini consistently receive high praise for their friendliness and professionalism. Guests often highlight the welcoming atmosphere, noting that the staff are always smiling, helpful and ready to provide useful information. Many reviews emphasize the courteous and polite nature of the staff, from the receptionists to the cleaning and waitstaff. The reception staff, including individuals like Christina, Naomi and Mattea, have been specifically mentioned for their exceptional service and positive impact on guests' stays. Despite the overall positive feedback, some guests have experienced less efficient service in the dining area and noted that a few staff members appeared distracted by their phones during meetings. There are occasional remarks about unhelpful and unpleasant interactions with certain staff members. However, the general sentiment towards the service at Grand Hotel Rimini is favorable with the majority of guests appreciating the attentiveness and accommodating nature of the staff. The high level of professionalism, combined with friendly and prompt service, contributes to a highly enjoyable and unique experience, making various aspects of guests' stays delightful.

Wi-Fi

The Grand Hotel Rimini offers an opulent stay with its luxurious amenities and charming atmosphere, but when it comes to internet connectivity, there's room for improvement. Guests have found the WiFi to be insufficient with many struggling to access the network at all. The connection tends to be weak, inconsistent and at times nearly impossible to set up, particularly in the rooms where the signal is often absent. For those hoping to download newspapers or upload photos, the lobby appears to be the most reliable spot, though this inconvenience highlights the need for an upgrade in the hotel's Wi-Fi infrastructure. The internet service could benefit from significant enhancements to meet modern network capacity demands.

Spa

The spa at Grand Hotel Rimini offers a comforting and delightful experience, particularly highlighted by the lovely and professional spa staff. Guests found relaxation in the spa and praised the wellness center as a pleasant retreat. Services like massage treatments were well-received, contributing to a relaxing weekend for many visitors. However, there were mentions of areas needing improvement. Some guests felt that the wellness path lacked facilities, such as a cabin for an 80-minute couples massage and suggested the spa's interior, comfort and treatment options could use an upgrade. Additionally, the cost of accessing the spa is notable with fees reported at 160€ to 170€ per visit, per person. Despite occasional concerns about hospitality and service quality, along with access-related issues requiring a green pass, the overall reports emphasize the spa's potential for providing a soothing escape within the luxurious setting of Grand Hotel Rimini.

Pool

The Grand Hotel Rimini offers a mixed experience when it comes to its pool facilities. Situated in a beautiful garden with historic ambiance, the pool area exudes a certain charm, complemented by a well-maintained environment that includes an excellent jacuzzi and a very good spa area. Some guests do appreciate the nice pool and obliging pool staff, noting it as a pleasant place and a great facility with beautiful views. However, the pool's small size and limited number of chairs, loungers and umbrellas can make it challenging for guests to find seating. Additionally, the outdoor pool closure issues, cold water temperature and unclear cleanliness statuses have been problematic for many. Access to the indoor pool is restricted to those booking spa services and the outdoor pool's early closing time further limits enjoyment. For beachgoers, reaching the beach requires crossing lightly trafficked streets and the hotel's private beach comes at a steep additional cost. Despite these points, the Grand Hotel Rimini still maintains a certain appeal with its historic environment and garden settings, though improvements in pool amenities and accessibility could enhance the overall guest experience.

Beach

Grand Hotel Rimini offers a private beach that is conveniently located just a short walk across the street from the hotel. Guests appreciate the well-maintained and quiet beach section which is never overcrowded, providing a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel's beach section stands out for its cleanliness and calm environment, making it perfect for a peaceful day by the sea. Though the private beach boasts a good buffet in a casual setting at the beach restaurant, it is important to note that beach access is not included in the room rate. Guests will need to pay an additional fee for sun loungers and umbrellas with the cost going up to €110 to €120 per day. While some guests have indicated that the pricing is quite steep for the facilities provided, the beach remains a highlight due to its excellent maintenance and tranquility. The hotel itself is lauded for its impeccable cleanliness, high-quality staff and food. Located in a beautiful area by the sea, the Grand Hotel Rimini remains a luxurious option for travelers, despite the additional costs associated with accessing the private beach. The ambiance and location offer a delightful experience for those looking to enjoy the classic charm of Rimini's coastline.

Parking

The parking experience at Grand Hotel Rimini presents a mixed bag of impressions from guests. On the positive side, the parking is described as ample, secure and conveniently located on the hotel premises. Guests have appreciated the good, friendly service provided in the parking area, making it a valuable amenity for those traveling by car. However, there are a few criticisms as well. Many feel that the cost of parking—ranging from 20 to 25 euros per day—is not justified, especially during the off-season. Some guests had anticipated free parking and were disappointed to find it was charged, considering such fees as out of place and overly expensive. Additionally, there were concerns about the difficulty in locating the parking entrance and the lack of organization upon arrival. Overall, while the parking facilities offer convenience and security, the additional costs and occasional organizational issues have left a less favorable impression on some guests.

5 Star

Grand Hotel Rimini has received a variety of feedback regarding its five-star rating, facilities and services. While some reviews highlight that the hotel meets all expectations of a five-star establishment and deserves the rating, there's a significant portion of guests who express dissatisfaction. There are assertions that the hotel lives up to its grand name and is nicely situated right on the beach promenade, adding a vibrant touch to its location. However, numerous reviews indicate that the service and amenities fall short of five-star standards, suggesting it resembles more a standard four-star hotel. Complaints include the lack of a wow effect, subpar service and breakfast options that could be richer to match the luxury status. Some guests were particularly disappointed with the noise levels from nearby parties and loud music extending until 3 in the morning. Many reviews point out a need for the hotel to be renewed to maintain its five-star rating and criticize the service quality, which some felt was uninspiring and lacked the attentiveness expected from a luxury establishment. Other complaints include the unremarkable kingsize beds and an overall experience that does not merit the price paid. Concerns were raised about indifferent staff who did not inquire about guests' satisfaction or reasons for early departure, contributing to a perception that the hotel's service is far from the standards experienced in other five-star destinations.

Historic

Grand Hotel Rimini exudes a beautifully preserved historical charm that has enchanted guests for years. Set in a magnificent Belle Epoque building on the Italian Riviera, the hotel seamlessly blends its rich heritage with modern comforts. Its halls and common areas retain an atmosphere that transports visitors to a bygone era, making it an iconic establishment in Rimini. The elegant Art Nouveau architecture, housed in a well-maintained park area complete with a pool, reflects the timeless allure of the place. This stately hotel, embodying the story of Rimini and the entire Riviera, is lauded for both its historical significance and exceptional renovation work, ensuring that modern amenities do not detract from its vintage charm. Guests frequently appreciate the hotel's chic and historic aesthetic, noting its beautifully updated rooms and common areas. The Grand Hotel Rimini offers a unique combination of historical elegance and contemporary facilities, maintaining a high standard of service and aesthetic appeal. An atmosphere reminiscent of Fellini’s cinema, an elegantly curated breakfast buffet and a friendly, accommodating staff further add to the delightful experience. This historic icon may be a bit dated in some areas, but its beauty and the charm of its storied past make it a highly satisfactory and memorable destination.
