Its central position makes it an excellent base for exploring Cornwall and visiting other nearby attractions. The hotel's setting is full of interesting character and is recommended for those seeking a holiday or honeymoon. Although Redruth town may not offer much, the hotel's location is well connected and accessible with Cornish beaches just a 10-15 minute drive away. Guests have described the hotel as a central Cornish gem and complimented its excellent location and ease of access. Whether you're visiting family or using the hotel as a base for exploring Cornwall, the Penventon Park Hotel's very nice location is well worth recommending.

Breakfast
Guests who have stayed at Penventon Park Hotel have given high praise to the hotel's breakfast. Reviewers have described the breakfast as excellent, delicious and of high quality. Many have used positive adjectives such as delightful and enjoyable to describe their experience. Several guests also complimented the hotel's staff for being helpful and attentive. While some guests had mixed experiences with their meals in the evening, they raved about the breakfast. The breakfast options were varied with guests appreciating the vegetarian option available. The hotel offers a traditional English breakfast along with other menu options. Although a few guests noted slow service, many found the service to be quick and efficient. Overall, the food at the restaurant and the breakfast was exceptional with quality ingredients and rich, tasty options. The guests were impressed with the value for money received.

Dinner
The dinner experience at Penventon Park Hotel is a mixed bag according to the guest reviews. While many describe the food as 'excellent' and 'fantastic', others feel that the dinner menu wasn't up to scratch and the prices were excessive. Some guests enjoyed the well-presented food and atmospheric restaurant, while others found it too dark and overly sophisticated. Starters and fish and chips received positive mentions, but a few courses were served either cold or undercooked leading to disappointment. However, the service received praise across the reviews. Overall, it seems that the dinner experience at Penventon Park Hotel may be hit or miss, but those who enjoy the dishes on offer will find them delicious and well-served.

Rooms
The Penventon Park Hotel has plenty of attractive and comfortable rooms, ranging from spacious and lovely to a bit small and outdated. The rooms were mostly clean and well presented with lovely bathrooms and comfortable beds. Though some had some issues such as mold in the bathroom, thin walls and lack of ventilation. However, there were many larger and newer rooms that are a great choice, including an executive suite that looks stunning, even in person. The ground floor rooms have access to small garden terraces through patio doors, but the dog-friendly rooms and ground floor suites are not highly recommended due to lack of ventilation and noise. Additionally, the hotel decor and furnishings in all communal areas are unusual and in very good order, but some corridors and room doors especially need upgrading/refurbishment. Room service is not always available and some guests felt uncomfortable sleeping due to the hot environment, uncomfortable beds or sofa beds. Moreover, there were a few comments regarding a lack of cleanliness, especially after the first day. However, most guests had a very comfortable stay during their time at the Penventon Park Hotel.

Beds
The Penventon Park Hotel boasts exceptional staff and a clean and comfortable stay, but the beds are hit or miss according to guest reviews. While some praise the lovely large beds and great comfort, others find them too soft, old and uncomfortable. The addition of sofa beds is also a point of contention with some finding them unbearable for a good night's sleep. Guests should be aware that some rooms have beds situated close to the doors, which can be noisy and disruptive when doors slam shut. Additionally, worn thin mattresses can lead to a stiff back in the morning. However, some rooms do offer clean and comfortable bedding for a relaxing night's rest.

Cleanliness
The Penventon Park Hotel is a lovely property with exceptional staff, comfortable beds and generally clean rooms. However, some guests found that the rooms needed a deeper clean with dirty crockery in the restaurant and breakfast bowls that had not been properly cleaned. Some areas of the hotel showed staining and needed a good clean and some guests found that their bathrooms were not clean or that their rooms weren't hoovered properly. On the other hand, many guests remarked that the hotel was spotless and that they had a clean and pleasant stay with large, clean rooms and good facilities. The swimming pool and sauna were also reported to be spacious and clean. A few guests noticed a musty or stale smell in their rooms and some found the room to be too hot or not very clean. One guest even reported a dirty swimming pool. While the majority of guests seemed satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel, a few felt that greater attention to detail was needed.

Staff
The reviews of the Penventon Park Hotel staff are overwhelmingly positive with many guests describing the staff as friendly, helpful and exceptionally good. Guests feel welcomed from the moment they arrive with efficient and warmly friendly staff at reception. Although a few guests had a negative experience with certain staff members, the majority of guests have described the team as lovely, kind and attentive. The hotel is a family business, which may explain the personal and caring touch of the staff. Guests have praised the exceptional service and professional attitude of the staff, who went out of their way to make guests feel welcomed and appreciated. The food was also a highlight for some guests with waiting staff in the restaurant described as friendly and professional. Overall, the staff at the Penventon Park Hotel seem to be a credit to the hotel and are a key factor in making guests feel comfortable and happy during their stay.

Spa
The Penventon Park Hotel has a good range of spa facilities which guests have enjoyed during their stay with many of them describing the spa as excellent and fabulous. However, some guests have mentioned that the spa area could do with a refresh as it is outdated and in need of some TLC. Overall, guests have praised the clean and relaxing atmosphere of the spa, as well as the friendliness of the staff. In addition to the spa, the hotel also offers good leisure facilities including a pool, although some guests have suggested updates such as a steam room and jacuzzi. Despite any minor criticisms, the spa and leisure facilities at Penventon Park Hotel are considered to be enjoyable and a welcome addition to any stay.

Pool
The Penventon Park Hotel has a great asset in their pool with many guests enjoying a morning swim, as well as kids loving it too. Although the pool can get busy as it is not only available to hotel guests, the spacious and heated pool is worth it. However, some guests did mention a few issues such as a restricted timetable for children or not being able to use the pool outside of family time. Despite this, many guests loved the pool and found it to be a highlight of their stay. The only downside seems to be the wait time for drinks by the pool and the fact that there wasn't much else to do for children if the pool wasn't available. Overall, the location, spa, restaurant and friendly staff added to the positive experience.

Family
The Penventon Park Hotel is a great choice for families looking to spend some quality time together. With its ideal location, it's perfect for those visiting family. The hotel is pet-friendly and even offers goodie bags in the room for pets. When it comes to food, the hotel offers amazing meals that are good value for money with children eating for free. However, the pool timetable for children is quite restricted and there aren't many activities for kids to do. The family rooms are spacious with some even having a sofa bed for the kids. The hotel is a family business with attentive staff, making for a pleasant stay. However, some guests found the sofa beds to be uncomfortable. Despite this, children will have a lovely experience at the Penventon Park Hotel with ample room for a family of four.

Luxury
Penventon Park Hotel offers guests a truly luxurious and comfortable stay that is well worth the fair price. As a proper old fashioned luxury hotel, it exudes a very stylish and very British atmosphere throughout. The rooms themselves offer a true luxury feel and are complemented by welcoming staff who make sure that guests' needs are met without question. This hidden gem of a hotel should be considered a five-star establishment given its grand and beautiful appearance, which so pleasantly surprises visitors. With really nice and lovely Cornish aesthetics, the hotel impresses travelers with top service, traditional designs and excellent, kindly service. If you're planning a trip to Cornwall, be sure to check out Penventon Park Hotel for a truly luxurious experience that won't break the bank.

Dog Friendly
Penventon Park Hotel is the ultimate destination for dog-loving travelers. With its accommodating pet policies, this hotel will surely cater to your furry friends. During our stay, we were delighted to discover that they had given us a room on the ground with a back garden exit, making it easier for us to take our dogs out. We also appreciated the goodie bags specially made for our pets. However, if you have allergies, it might not be the best option for you as we noticed a large amount of people with dogs staying in the hotel. The hotel staff were quick to address any concerns, like the dog barking non-stop in the room next to us. The only downside we encountered was that the dog-friendly room could get smelly and finding an enclosed patio for dogs to eat outside might be a challenge. Overall, Penventon Park Hotel is the perfect choice if you want to take your furry friends on vacation with you. It's well known for its dog-friendly facilities and services and the hotel itself is super accommodating. It's definitely one of the best dog-friendly hotels we've ever stayed at!
