Fonnental Design Hotel Tallinn boasts a modern and beautifully designed environment, making it aesthetically pleasing and clean. The cozy neighborhood where the hotel is situated adds to its charm, offering a good location for guests. The newly opened hotel features comfortable rooms with spacious shower facilities, receiving praise for their design and functionality. Many guests find it to be great value for money, appreciating the good service and various breakfast options available.
However, several aspects of the hotel fall short of its four-star classification. Numerous reviews suggest that the hotel feels more like a two or three-star establishment due to several issues. Guests frequently noted inadequate amenities, such as small sinks, a lack of slippers, missing toiletries and absent refrigerators and wardrobes in rooms. Additionally, some experienced disruptions from nighttime noises, both from the plumbing and loud events at the hotel's restaurant.
Service gaps, including unaddressed power outages and insufficient solutions for toilet issues, also contributed to the sentiment that the hotel does not live up to its four-star rating. While the hotel’s overall atmosphere and design are appreciated, guests often feel that their expectations for a four-star experience are not fully met.

The Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel has received mixed reviews regarding its four-star rating. Some guests have found the facilities to be great, while others believe that they do not meet 4-star standards. The spa has been praised for its awesome facilities, but some guests have found that the quality of the room does not meet expectations for a luxury hotel. Some guests have also mentioned that the hotel is not suitable for solo travelers seeking privacy. However, the overall opinion is that the hotel is nice and guests would recommend it. Complimentary tea and coffee are expected for a four-star hotel and some guests have noted that the toilets can be dirty in private rooms, which is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a 4-star one. While some guests believe that the hotel is average with a grim spa and is overpriced, others think it's a good hotel and have enjoyed their stay.

Original Sokos Hotel Viru, located in the heart of Tallinn, has received varied feedback regarding its four-star rating and offerings. While some guests appreciate its central location and confirm that it provides four-star accommodation, others question the validity of this rating, suggesting it aligns more closely with three or three-and-a-half stars. The condition of the hotel has been a point of contention, with comments about its dated appearance and the need for renovation, especially within the rooms and bathrooms. There are concerns about the lack of amenities, such as in-room coffee machines and adequate drink-making facilities, which are typically expected at this level of accommodation. Mediocre room cleanliness also adds to these concerns. Guests note that although the hotel is correct in its essentials, it lacks special features to justify a full four-star experience. Despite these critiques, some patrons express a willingness to return, indicating that the hotel still offers a satisfactory stay, particularly for those prioritizing location over luxury.
