Location
Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa is a lovely woodland retreat surrounded by nature. It's a little out of the way, but that's part of its charm. The location is excellent, especially for those flying in or out of Leeds airport. It's also great for dog walks and a short walk to the forest park. The setting is beautiful and perfect for a weekend away without the kids. The hotel is a quaint and lovely place with friendly staff, nestled in the forest grounds. It's close to Otley where there are some truly fabulous pubs and cafes. The location is superb overall, making it an excellent choice for a stay up on the Chevin.

Breakfast
Guests have mixed opinions about the breakfast at Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa. Some describe the breakfast as lovely, gorgeous, beautiful and well-cooked. The continental buffet and the cooked breakfast to order were also appreciated. However, some guests found the choice of food limited with tasteless options in the restaurant. The availability of vegetarian and vegan options was also not consistent with some reporting that the vegetarian option on the menu was unavailable and others highlighting the variety of vegetarian food. Some guests found the price of £15 for breakfast steep, especially considering the missing black pudding which was supposed to be included in the set breakfast. Despite this, many guests enjoyed the location of the hotel and the friendly staff who served the self-service breakfast. Overall, while the breakfast had some hits and misses, guests appreciate the good spa facilities and the variety of options available in both the buffet and cooked breakfast.

Dinner
The dinner at the Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa has received mixed reviews from guests. Some have had amazing experiences and loved the food, while others found it to be poor quality and limited in variety. Some guests have described the food as random or below average with overcooked calamari, inedible plates and poor value for money. On the other hand, positive reviews praised the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food, including the steak and ale pie and mash. Some guests found it tricky to make dinner reservations, while others enjoyed fabulous evening meals and breakfast. Overall, the dinner experience at the hotel depends on individual tastes and preferences.

Rooms
The Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa offers an array of rooms - from cosy cabins to spacious lodges. However, guests have reported mixed experiences during their stays. Some rooms are lovely and clean with comfortable beds, but others are shabby, outdated and require updating with peeling wallpaper and stained carpets. There have been reports of mouldy bathrooms, small shower cubicles and broken facilities such as TV's, showers and key cards. Many guests have reported that walls are paper-thin and some room locations can be noisy. On the other hand, some guests have enjoyed their stays in lovely woodland cabins with a peaceful view. Despite some negative reviews, other guests have been satisfied with clean and tidy rooms and good provisions of tea and coffee.

Beds
Guests staying at Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa had mixed reviews about the comfort of the beds. While some guests raved about the great beds that provided a comfortable night's sleep, others found the bed uncomfortable with some stating that the springs kept popping when they moved. Some guests also mentioned that the double beds felt small for a couple. However, there were positives with some guests finding the beds superb and the most comfortable beds they have ever slept on. Despite some guests commenting on the dated rooms, many found their rooms clean and comfortable with some enjoying the size of their lovely big bed.

Cleanliness
The Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa seems to have a mixed reputation when it comes to cleanliness. While some guests have raved about how lovely and clean the property is, others have had some serious complaints. Some guests have reported that the spa appeared unclean and that there were spider webs and dust in the rooms. One guest even reported mouse droppings on the bed and on the floor. Many guests have noted stains on the carpets and curtains, mould in the bathrooms and poorly maintained furniture. Some guests have described the place as looking run down and tired and in need of cleaning and updating. Despite this, there were positive reviews praising the cleanliness of the rooms and property. It seems like a bit more attention to cleaning could improve the overall experience for guests staying at the Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa.

Staff
At Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa, you'll be greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff that will go above and beyond for you. Reviews show that the staff is professional, kind and always happy to help. While some guests experienced slow service or encountered rude staff members, overall, the majority of reviewers praise the friendly, helpful and patient staff. From the operations manager to the spa and restaurant staff, everyone is committed to making your stay a memorable one. The hotel may have some dated aspects, but the improvements made by the staff are apparent. The atmosphere is warm and cosy and the log fire at reception adds to the charm. The restaurant staff is amazing and the food is delicious. While there were some issues with service in the restaurant, most guests enjoyed their dining experiences. In summary, Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa can be a lovely place to stay, surrounded by stunning parks with great attentive staff who will do everything to make your stay enjoyable.

Wi-Fi
Travelers looking to unplug and disconnect from the digital world may find the Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa to be a suitable destination. While the hotel does offer basic WiFi facilities, confirmed guest reviews frequently mention issues with the internet signal. Some guests report no WiFi at all, weak and intermittent signal and limited coverage in the lodge and rooms. Mobile signal is also non-existent, making it difficult to stay connected. One guest suggested potentially getting WiFi in the cabins, but overall, the facilities need more information on how to connect and where to find things. For those who need to stay connected, be prepared to frequent the main hotel for internet access.

Spa
The Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa is a charming hotel in a picturesque setting with a spa that guests had mixed feelings about. Some raved about the spa facilities, mentioning the amazing staff, excellent amenities and great hot tub. However, many reviews criticized the spa, calling it dirty, understaffed, outdated and in need of renovation. Guests also mentioned issues with limited access, separate payment and booking difficulties. Some couldn't use them at all due to closures or being fully booked. Despite these negatives, some praised the spa's outdoor pools in the woods and the opportunity to have it all to themselves. While the spa may not be perfect, it's worth a visit to destress and you might even get lucky with a great experience.

Pool
If you're planning a getaway to Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa and are looking forward to some pool time, you may want to check in advance. Some previous guests have reported that the swimming pool was unable to be used due to broken parts or gas delivery delays. However, when in working order, the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi were described as fabulous. It's worth noting that complimentary use of the pool may have restrictions, such as only being available for children on Sunday mornings until 10 am. Additionally, some guests noted the hot tub could use some improvement, as it was on a timer and wasn't always clean. Overall, while the pool and spa facilities have received mixed feedback, they are worth considering as part of your stay at Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa.

Family
Families looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by natural wildlife may find Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa a great option. The log cabins, although small, are adequate for grandparents and their grandchildren with welcoming staff that looked after them well. However, those with accessibility needs may find the bathroom and corridors too small for mobility scooters. While massages are not included in the price, the pet-friendly hotel allows dogs and hosts weddings for those who want to celebrate with family. Note that the quiet surroundings might be disturbed during the day by flights, so book with ease knowing there won't be any night flights from Leeds Bradford airport.

3 Star
The Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa, a three-star hotel, seems to receive mixed reviews from guests. Many felt the accommodation was outdated and fell short of their expectations in terms of quality. The rooms, while clean, were described as old-fashioned and shabby. Some felt that for the price, the value wasn't there. The breakfast was reportedly precooked and warmed through, leaving quite a bit to be desired. However, for others, it was an adequate place to stay, especially if they needed to be in the area. The hotel seems to be in need of some refurbishment: several guests suggested that the hotel charge less or spend some money renovating the rooms. Overall, it wasn't anything special and a few guests were very disappointed with their stay. If you're looking for something luxurious or fancy, this may not be the place for you.
