Quail Farm operates on a 10-acre property with a strong focus on sustainable practices. Wood from their trees provides hot water for accommodation, and their orchard and hazelnut groves yield fruit and nuts for homemade preserves and bread. They produce their own lavender oil for homemade soaps used in guest accommodations. The farm grows much of its own vegetables, composts garden waste, and happy hens provide eggs. All domestic waste is recycled, and environmentally friendly cleaning products are refilled from bulk containers. Laundry is line-dried, and the property uses energy-efficient products like LED lighting and heat pumps, with drinking water sourced from their own bore.
