Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea is a beautiful resort located on a stunning island with two beaches, one private and the other one available for the public. The beachfront "transit" rooms offer a breathtaking view of the beach. Despite the small size of the hotel beach which is located behind the overwater bungalows before the reef drop-off, it offers excellent snorkeling opportunities right from the beach. Guests can choose from plenty of umbrellas and beach areas. The snorkeling off the overwater bungalows is great, but the wind can be prohibitive at times. The private beach is very pleasant and accessible for snorkeling with a multitude of fish right at the bungalow's feet. The coral gardens and turtle sightings make for a great snorkeling experience. The facilities are clean and the water and beach are excellent, though the public beach of Tamae is preferred over the hotel beach by some. The only downside is that the beach on the lagoon side is not very beautiful. Nevertheless, our stay at Manava felt like a dream with its stunning scenery and great snorkeling spots.
