This 19th century castle was the ancestral home of the wealthy Clements Family and the Earl of Leitrim. The Third Earl of Leitrim was particularly famous for his ruthlessness as a resident and a politician. After his bitter end, Colonel Henry Theophilus Clements took the helm and restored the castle. Until the 1970s, the Clements remained proud owners of Lough Rynn Castle. Today, it stands proud in 300 acres of lush land filled with natural beauty, offering the very best of Irish hospitality and history.
The castle is situated on the estate of the Mac Raghnaill family, rulers before the Tudor dynasty.
Children are welcomed and children's activities are offered. However, there is no space for an extra bed in the rooms.
Breathtaking landscapes surround the castle that is furnished with antiquates and open fires creating a romantic setting.
Facilities for disabled people are available including wheelchair access to the car park, the bar, the restaurant, the reception and rooms.
