Aerotropolis Guest Lodge offers a good price-quality ratio, making it a comfortable and safe choice in a beautiful setting. At around $35 a night, the lodge’s cleanliness and prime location near the airport are standout features, ideal for both families and short stays in a secure neighborhood. Most guests find it to be good value for money with many expressing a desire to return and recommend it to others.
While the hotel has many positive aspects, there are a few areas that could use some improvement. The on-site restaurant is noted to be too expensive and some facilities need a bit of updating and tender loving care. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience tends to be favorable, making it a great option for an overnight stay or a brief visit.

The recently remodeled interior reflects a stylish and comfortable atmosphere, aligning with guest expectations.
Breakfast at the guesthouse is noteworthy, characterized by its quality and abundance. Guests appreciate the delicious offerings and the value they add, despite the absence of its inclusion in the room rate. A thoughtful breakfast voucher enhances the dining experience, and while there are minor logistical inconveniences, these do not detract significantly from the positive reception.

Although some mention discrepancies in room size as depicted online, the comfort and beauty of the rooms generally surpass guest expectations. Minor issues with amenities like air conditioning and microwaves, along with occasional noise, are noted but are largely overshadowed by the welcoming atmosphere.

The friendly and helpful staff, including the owner Jose, play a significant role in creating a welcoming environment. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality enhance the overall experience, making guests feel valued and at home.

Summary of reviews related to the '3 Star' category
Summarized by AI
Located conveniently opposite OR Tambo International Airport, the Metcourt Emperors Palace offers decent three-star accommodations with value-for-money service. However, the hotel seems to look a little tired and could benefit from some sprucing up. Guests have pointed out that the state of repair is acceptable, though amenities are characteristic of a three-star establishment. Some have noticed that the lift can be particularly slow and that the TV channels are limited. Despite having the potential of a four-star property, the hotel's current facilities and overall experience align more with the expectations from a three-star rating. The non-committal attitude of some staff members has also been noted. On rare occasions, such as early Sunday mornings, the proximity to the airport can result in noise disturbances like the testing of jet engines.
