Côté Hôtel is highly appreciated by guests for its strategic location, making it an ideal stopover near Lyon. The hotel's proximity to a highway, close to charming medieval towns like Oingt and the picturesque villages of the Golden Stones, adds cultural and scenic value to the stay. Despite its commercial area setting opposite a train station, the hotel remains peaceful and provides friendly and helpful staff who offer excellent local attraction suggestions.
The hotel's breakfast is another highlight, commonly described as "exceptional" and "very good." The buffet features a variety of fresh fruits, cereals, ham, cheese and traditional French items like baguettes and croissants, which guests find hearty and plentiful. For a reasonable price under 10 EUR, the breakfast represents strong value for money, enhanced by the service from friendly staff.
Rooms at Côté Hôtel are praised for their cleanliness and comfort. Spacious, functional and equipped with comfortable beds, they ensure a pleasant stay regardless of the weather, thanks to well-maintained air-conditioning. The hotel's eco-friendly approach along with ample parking space further enhances its appeal. While some rooms may be on the smaller side, the efficient design and comfort more than compensate for this. Noise from the road is occasionally noted but does not detract significantly from the overall guest experience.
Cleanliness is consistently highlighted with guests frequently mentioning the spotless condition of both the hotel and the rooms. The calm and welcoming atmosphere, combined with the attentive and friendly staff, contributes to a highly recommended choice for visitors. The reception staff, in particular, stands out for their friendly and helpful demeanor, offering great local dining tips and accommodating even late-night arrivals warmly.
The parking facilities also receive positive feedback with guests appreciating the ample, free parking that does not require reservations, making it convenient and stress-free. Although there are mentions of a paid parking option with an occasionally unreliable electric barrier, the majority of guests find the parking experience easy and the peaceful environment adds to their satisfaction.
The comfort and quality of the beds are consistently praised with guests frequently highlighting the restful sleep experience. Clean and comfortable bedding combined with quiet air conditioning contributes to a high level of comfort that does not compromise on the hotel’s eco-friendly approach. Overall, Côté Hôtel combines simplicity, tranquility and hospitable service to provide an impressive and comfortable stay for its guests.
