Some guests found the pillows to be either too hard or too thin, but overall the rooms were considered to be lovely and spacious. Unfortunately, a few guests did find the main double bed to be uncomfortable with one stating it felt like sleeping on cardboard. One guest felt that the bed was not worth the money and another found the bed to be soft with a dip in the centre, but it's worth noting that this wasn't the majority opinion. The hotel also offers sofa beds which guests found to be comfortable. Overall, the hotel provides comfortable accommodation with a good range of bed options.

Cleanliness
The Lea Marston Hotel has received mixed feedback when it comes to cleanliness. Some guests have reported clean, fresh and comfortable rooms, while others have experienced rooms that were not the cleanest. Unfortunately, a few guests had to deal with dirty rooms which made them feel uncomfortable during their stay. There were also complaints about dirty glasses, filthy floors and dirty pool changing rooms. Some guests found the overall hotel to be dated and in need of a room refresh. Thankfully, there were positive reviews too with guests appreciating the spa facilities and gorgeous, clean spa. It seems as though guests' experiences varied, so it may be worth contacting the hotel directly to confirm cleanliness standards before booking.

Staff
Lea Marston Hotel has a mixture of helpful and polite staff. Most of the staff welcomed guests with a smile and were friendly. However, some guests reported inexperienced and unhelpful young staff who needed a manager to keep them proactive. Despite this, the hotel's young manager was praised for their excellent service. Staff were also commended for working hard to cater to weddings and parties. There were some negative comments about the hotel's housekeeping and reception staff, who were reportedly rude and unhelpful. However, other guests reported pleasant interactions with staff who were attentive and accommodating. The bar staff came out on top with guests praising their excellent service even in difficult circumstances. Overall, the hotel has great facilities and some lovely, friendly staff who were willing to go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome.

Wi-Fi
Guests of Lea Marston Hotel have reported various issues with the Wi-Fi during their stay. Some guests complained that the Wi-Fi in their room was terrible or non-existent, which was especially frustrating for business owners and families with children. Others mentioned that the Wi-Fi in common areas was also poor or almost non-existent, even after reporting it to Reception. Some guests even compared the hotel's Wi-Fi to a "chocolate kettle" - completely useless. Although the Wi-Fi was free, it was often intermittent or would not connect at all, leaving guests wishing it worked better.

Spa
The spa at Lea Marston Hotel receives mixed reviews from guests. Some loved the pool area, jacuzzi and steam room, while others found it disappointing and in need of some TLC. Some were charged an additional £15 to use the facilities despite it not being mentioned upon booking. The spa was not always peaceful or relaxing due to high levels of people and guests were disappointed when there were no staff or treatments available. However, some guests found the spa facilities clean and enjoyed the layout and perfect spa times. Children were not allowed in the pool before 9 to maintain a quiet, adult-only atmosphere. Overall, the spa was an okay experience but may not be worth the extra cost for some.

Pool
The Lea Marston Hotel boasts a lovely pool area, but some guests found the water to be too cold for a comfortable swim. Unfortunately, several reviews noted that the pool and surrounding facilities were in need of updating and maintenance with issues like non-functioning lockers and a broken swimsuit dryer. Some guests also mentioned long wait times for the hot tub and one review suggested that the hotel consider installing a second tub to accommodate more guests. Though the pool area was generally clean, some guests noted unpleasant odors and mold in the changing rooms. While some guests were happy with the pool and steam room amenities, others were disappointed to find that they weren't available during their stay or were only accessible for an additional fee. Ultimately, guests who prioritized the hotel's pool facilities found them satisfactory, but improvements could be made to enhance the overall experience.

Parking
Guests at Lea Marston Hotel have mixed feelings about the parking. On the one hand, some reviewers mention that the car park is large and free or easy to use. On the other hand, there are a lot of complaints about additional charges for parking, including a £5 fee and a £50 insurance deposit, which some guests say was not refunded upon check-out. Some guests also mention that the car park has pot holes and others complain about the additional fees for spa facilities and breakfast - which were not included despite a higher room rate. Some guests also report that the car park was crowded or in use for events and some mention that they were charged for parking despite booking through a third party.

Family
Lea Marston Hotel is a great choice for families looking for a convenient location to visit Thomas Land with only a few minutes drive away. The hotel staff is very accommodating, as seen when they put in an extra bed along with a travel cot for a family of five. However, some guests found that the family rooms near reception had a lot of foot traffic passing by, causing some noise and disruptions during the stay. Moreover, the menu for children was not the best and had no vegetarian options, apart from hash browns from the buffet. Nevertheless, there were some lovely surprises with complimentary drinks and ice cream for a guest's son and a conservatory with a play area for children. The hotel is also ideal for special events as one guest booked dinner and lunch for a family reunion, followed by another guest celebrating their father's 92nd birthday. Overall, Lea Marston Hotel is a great choice for families, but some careful consideration may be required when it comes to the menu and the location of the family rooms.

4 Star

Some guests claim that the hotel is tired and masquerading as a four-star hotel, therefore, not worthy of its four-star rating. Some have even gone to the extent of saying that it's hard to believe it's a four-star hotel in the first place. However, they do agree that the staff are pleasant. One guest said that the venue needs some TLC and would only rate it as a three-star hotel. Others have stated that they found nothing to commend about the hotel at all. Despite the hotel advertising itself as a four-star hotel, guests have claimed that it is not a four-star hotel by any means and are discontented with the upgrade fee.
