The staff are incredibly welcoming, especially the lovely ladies who serve breakfast and the meals are simply terrific. Each morning you'll be treated to a different and delicious traditional Japanese breakfast, made with locally-sourced ingredients that are freshly picked on the very day. But it's not just the breakfast that's worth raving about - the dinner experience is also truly magical. Indulge in a traditional Japanese meal that will leave your taste buds singing. Trust us, you'll love the breakfast (조식도 맛있었습니다).

Dinner
If you're looking for a truly magical dining experience in Kyoto, then look no further than IZUYASU Traditional Kyoto Inn. Serving up freshly picked, traditional Japanese meals daily, their kaiseki dinners are exceptionally good and absolutely delicious, even Michelin-star-worthy according to some guests. While they do require guests to give 4 days notice to book a dinner, it's certainly worth the wait. Dining with the owner is a special experience, as he shares his knowledge of Kyoto's culture and art while making you feel right at home. The service is excellent and the chef is amazing, creating one of the best kaiseki meals some have ever enjoyed. Make sure to try the sake too, it's delicious!

Rooms
If you're looking for a traditional experience in Kyoto, IZUYASU Traditional Kyoto Inn serving Kyoto cuisine is definitely worth considering. The rooms are mostly clean and come with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Some guests found the rooms a bit small, but as advertised. However, the Se Room was too small for two people. On the plus side, the beds are very comfortable and the traditional futon beds were the most comfortable ones throughout the guests' entire trip. The rooms are cleaned daily and have private toilets. Some guests felt like they were transported back in time to 180 years ago because of the traditional Japanese design. The inn is in a lovely location with 200 years of history and has a well-finished design that combines the traditional with the contemporary. Although some guests felt that the rooms were a bit dated, it didn't detract from their overall experience. The onsen was clean and spacious and the hot spring bath with the hinoki wood wall provided a relaxing ambiance. However, the inn is a bit noisy due to its thin walls. The staff provided impeccable service and for some guests, the room exceeded their expectations. In summary, IZUYASU Traditional Kyoto Inn serving Kyoto cuisine is an excellent choice for a Japanese traditional experience.
