What is the history of the property?
Slottsvillan is an iconic heritage-listed building in Husqvarna, built in 1895-96 as a private residence for Wilhem Tham and his wife and 9 children; the CEO and chairman of Husquarna, one of Sweden’s largest manufacturing companies. He is said to be the person who has had the greatest influence over the region, the company and the way Slottsvillan came to be.
What was the era and/or the architectural style in which the property was built?
Influenced by Scottish and Irish castles since the former director ones lived in Glasgow before taking on the great honor to become the director of Husqvarna.
Is the property surrounded by other historic buildings?
Next to the hotel you have the heritage listed area called "Smedbyn", and the old factory of Husqvarna. You also find several old heritage listed churches in the area.
