Tampat Do Aman actively promotes and preserves the culture of the local Rungus indigenous culture, only employs from the local village, has a museum dedicated to the local Rungus tribe , the majority of it's land is given over to a wildlife reserve, provides volunteers to undertake infrastructure projects for the local community including turtle hatchery, compost toilets and development of environmental projects to support the local community.
