Ringhotel Villa Margarete offers a blend of old-world charm and modern conveniences. The rooms, while newly furnished, maintain a slightly outdated charm typical of the Ringhotel brand. Guests have consistently praised the attentive staff and the very good restaurant, which seem to elevate the overall experience. However, the hotel does face some criticisms concerning its four-star rating. Some guests felt that the breakfast and wellness area did not meet the expected standards of a four-star establishment. There were also comments on the price-performance ratio of the suites and additional charges for parking, which detracted from the perceived value. The reviews for Spa Hotel Amsee put the four-star rating into question with various guests expressing disappointment in the facilities and services offered. Many commented that the rooms did not meet four-star standards with mentions of worn-out corridors, an ambiance compared to a hospital and bathrooms in need of renovation. The amenities were generally considered equivalent to a three-star hotel, lacking features such as refrigerators which one might expect at this rating.
Service quality was another area that failed to impress. Descriptions referred to poor service and inconsistent friendliness, which did not align with the expectations for a four-star experience. Moreover, the comfort systems were noted to be below standard and the overall ambiance missed the mark for a high-quality stay.
